COLUMBIA, S.C. A proposal to ensure that South Carolinians can hold onto their weapons regardless of federal restrictions made a little progress Wednesday in the state Senate.

The bill is a pre-emptive move, should Congress pass or the president order gun restrictions, amid the continued debate over the mass killing in December of 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school.

OK, I'll start things off by simply saying....it would be refershing, if just once, the gun proponents used a different (ie, non-NRA trademarked) term than "gun grab". Every on-line gun publication uses exactly the same terms and phrases.

Is there nothing original? Ya'all seem to be re-cycling the same verse and phrasology.

    Just sayin'

Simpy said, It is what it is. What would you propose they call an effort that wants to do just that, grab guns from the hands of responsible gun owners?

once your dear leader stops using the SAME talking points in every speech, the same ones he has used since 2008, you can then complain about others use of 'talking points'.....

Obama is not to be trusted under any circumstances. Did he, for example, keep his promises to the victims of the Fort Hood Jihadist? Have those victims been f'd over by
by Obama? YES! He should be impeached for that alone.

Kinda like Obama saying "investment" when he means "spending tax dollars on liberal folly causes."

Oh, I'd call it exactly what it is: proposed gun legislation to do X, Y and Z.

Ya'll group anything and everything regarding gun legislation as, and I quote, "a gun grab".

So, are background checks to screen out mentally ill folks, for example, a "gun grab"?? I don't think so.

    Sorry, not about Obama.

    He won the election.

Get over it, or move to another country (sorry, that was a common slogan in my day for those that didn't support what the Gov was doing, like Nam).

Well not to put too fine a point on it, the proposed legislation is to ban sales of some kinds of guns. Think you can only grab something from somebody that they already have?

Hmmm. Far right wing? Simplistic views, intolerant of opposing views, anger issues, need to caricature opponents, militaristic.

So far so good. How do you feel about really big rallies? And parades? Invading other countries, ethnic purity?

    Sieg heil!
