That's horrible logic. Tebow is the worst throwing QB ever. Manning is in the debate for best ever.

I think because they drafted tyrod??

I know NFL teams will give draft picks every chance before cutting bait. Is it a financial thing, or simply ego? Not sure....

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dixon beat out Vick now that he's an Eagle

He's going to have to beat out Foles too.

Dixon may have a leg up on both since Kelly and he are Oregon boys.

it wasn't meant to be taken all that seriously. just tongue in cheek.

but I was serious about the other part. if my options are to play for a bad team, or ride the pine with a competitive team, I'd pick playing.

Tebow has 15 career NFL starts. Hard to say he's the worst passing QB ever. He has a higher TD% and a lower INT% than Jay Cutler, albeit in limited action. But nobody will ever want him over Cutler, because he doesn't put up big fantasy numbers from time to time. And Cutler will continue to kill his teams with devastating stupid INTs at terrible, terrible times. Him and his "great arm".

I would only want Tebow as a RB or TE.

People wouldn't want him over Cutler because he's a horrible quarterback.

See, I think they're BOTH bad QBs. In different ways. But I wouldn't really want either one EVER starting for my team if I could help it.

    NO.

Tebow's a great kid, but a crappy QB.

Tebow needs to go to a team that has been losing for a number of years.

I still can't believe the Jags don't want this hometown guy.

The Jags have trouble selling tickets, plus they have almost nothing to lose, in as much are they have not been a contender for years.

The new GM is saying, this is his team now and Tebow is not going to be part it.

The media circus that follows Tebow would be of zero consequence for the Jags. The City of Jacksonville and the team should welcome a media circus.

Maybe the new GM actually wants to win and not just sell tickets to the sideshow.

true, but the fanbase seems to really like the idea of rooting for him. and it's not like JAX is going to become competitive overnight.

on the otherhand, the worse the record, the higher they draft. better to get a Luck or RGIII than to win a couple extra games and miss out on a real QB

Tebow puts up way more fantasy points than Cutler since he runs with the football so much. Try again

I personally would like to see Tebow get the starting job in Jax or somewhere and a chance to play. Plenty of teams that could do worse at QB.

You know as well as I do, the NFL is a business.

If you don't sell tickets, if you have trouble making money from sponsors, if you have trouble getting quality FA, it is difficult to win.

I am going to check to see if the Jags spend their entire cap money or keep some of it, due to lack of ticket sales.

Tebow is not a good fit in Baltimore no matter what position he plays. I like him, but he needs to have a fresh start somewhere other than being on a cap-limited team that just won the Super Bowl.
