Default Cops: 5th-Graders Planned to Kill 'Annoying' Classmate

5th Graders Copy Obama's Hit List!

NEWSER) – Residents of the eastern Washington town of Colville are reeling after police announced they had uncovered a murder plot by two fifth-grade boys, reports the Los Angeles Times. The boys brought a .45-caliber Remington 1911 semiautomatic handgun and a knife to school, intending to kill a classmate "because she was really annoying," say school officials. "My background is a high school counselor and psychologist, and quite frankly, in 30-plus years, I never heard of anything like this at this age level," says the superintendent.

The boys confessed their plan was that one would kill the girl with the knife while the other used the gun to prevent anyone from interfering. They also planned to injure six other classmates.

After Sandy Hook, if it is determined the .45 belonged to one of the parent's, jail time should be pushed.

Where does a 5th grader come up with a classic old war horse like a 1911 (most probable a 1911A1)? That's a lot of gun for a little kid is all I'm saying. You suppose grandpa left it laying around the house or what? I swear there are people in this world too stupid to be alive. And I can't help but wonder what drugs these kids were on.

They hit people with sticks, they set a cat on fire. Those are things that children do. But this was a plot to kill.
It's a sad day when it's normal for kids to light cats on fire.

It usually starts with harming pets and then moves on to harming people. It's too bad parents don't read enough these days to be on top of the signs of mental disorders at an early age.

Charge the owner of the gun and then let the court figure it out.
