Ii think it's a combination of "liberals against guns".
You have a noisy minority of gun banners, and a vast majority of "derp....ya, ban guns" type of followers.
Then there is a quieter minority of liberal shooters, with a smaller following from the "derp...Second Ammendment!" crowd.
Two unequal camps, with the anti-gunners outnumbering us shooters.
But I don't think it's as grossly unequal as it's often made out to be here.

I realize laws vary from place to place regarding guns in bars, but we really don't know if or how much he had had to drink or if he would have been legally able to carry if he had been drinking.
Yes, they are different cases, but my main point was that there seems to be a different intensity in the reaction to deaths of innocent blacks and whites. There may be other factors at play here, but generally there seems to be a much higher level of coverage of white deaths.
