We should really be going all in on rebuilding and modernizing our energy grid and on leading the way on new energy technologies.
The cost for upgrading our infrastructure will be about $2T. All of the QE money that was printed by the Feds and given to fatten the 1% bankers could have been used on the infrastructure.

Ask Boeing how going all in with a very new lithium-ion battery has worked out for them?

It's precisely this kind of simple-minded thinking that holds us back. Oh well, something failed, better just give up and scrap the whole thing

I'm sure the very first attempt at a car was successful.
I'm sure the very first attempt at an airplane was a rousing success.

C'mon man... think before you jerk your knees to type.

Except that there are some folks who will fight tooth and nail to make sure that infrastructure spending never ever happens.

Fox News actually got something right:

The oil to be sent through Keystone XL pipeline was never destined for US markets.
In its permit application for the pipeline, TransCanada noted that the Keystone XL pipeline would allow the company to drain these reserves and export that fuel as well. According to TransCanada’s own statements, this would raise gas prices in the United States, especially in the Midwest.
No matter how you look at it, the Keystone XL proposal was a slimy, scam of a deal. America is better than that.

We can create good-paying jobs that build our families and our economy for the future without hurting our environment today.

All brute force and ignorance as you seem to prescribe is not the answer either. Boeing proves we are still a long way from using alternative energy sources. Thank goodness the plane wasn't in the air when the lithium-ion batteries caught on fire. Maybe you'd like to sacrifice your family to further your alternative energy agenda?

I hope we have leadership who will fight tooth and nail against some ill planned shovel ready program designed to just get money out into the economy even if it means repairing bridges that should be condemned instead.

Where have I advocated brute force and ignorance? My God must you always lie and misrepresent to make a point?

All Boeing has proved is that their design is not up to snuff. Maybe they cut corners, we don't know. But that one incident doesn't do anything to prove or disprove anything about alternative energy sources as a whole. It's your kind of thinking that's done more to hold us back than anything else.

Oh good grief, with each post it's clear that you don't actually read what's posted by others, but only what you want to read or more accurately what lines up with the talking points you already have set to spew.
