Default Iowa governor blasts Rove group as Republicans quarrel

Rove a man who spent hundreds of millions in donor money with nearly no return and somehow gets more donors. He has to be the con-man of the decade.

"Turmoil deepened among leading Republicans over efforts to ward off controversial candidates in the next election, as Iowa Republican Gov. Terry
Branstad blasted a new candidate-steering plan by Karl Rove and warned him to stay out of state and congressional races. “I basically told Karl Rove that what he was doing is counter-productive and he needs to stay out of it,” said Branstad, recounting a phone call to Rove, the leader of the new Conservative Victory Project."

"Branstad, who is influential as the five-term governor of a political swing state that hosts the first nominating contest of each presidential campaign, was especially inflamed by indications the Rove organization would target Iowa arch-conservative Rep. Steve King if he tried to run for the state’s open Senate seat in 2014."

Branstad is scared of Congressman King and a tea bagger primary. All politics is local.

Zoloft is used for depression which many people suffer from and are able to hold jobs.

All of this intra-party finger-pointing is not unusual after a disappointing loss.

The thing that boggles the mind is that they ever thought they could beat this President.

Granted, they lost 5 House seats, but that's normal because of some Obama coattails.

Karl Rove is a despicable disgusting con man. I hate to see is face on gthe news outlets because he is so full of sheet and has a vomit inducing visage unparalelled in gthe political realm. A flim flam man of the higest magnitude why anyone would even let this man on TV is beyond me.

Corzine? Of all the con men, all the financial manipulators who helped crash the world's economy, you pick Jon Corzine?

Your characterization of Corzine is so exaggerated, so stuffed with hyperbole and outright lies, that it makes your argument a circus clown-car of rhetorical excess.

Corzine is no better and no worse than hundreds of other market players whose hubris drained our retirement savings accounts.

Comments from Obama and Biden about Cozine's role in the stimulus were made during the 2009 campaign -- a campaign Corzine lost.

When your deep-rooted hatred leads you so far out on a limb, you can only look like a fool when the truth cuts that limb from the tree.

I take it you're not a Rove fan. Are you a fan of Rep. Steve King?

A good candidate could have beaten Obama. Unfortunately, the republicans didn't have any of those willing to put themselves through the crap we call a campaign.

I still pray for a 3rd party that can actually win. I know, I know, I just took my meds....

This is the case. Wall Street is full of these guys. The really sad part is they seem to rotate back and forth between govt. and Wall St. jobs, regardless of who is in power.

The little guy always takes it on the chin and these guys come out smelling like a rose.

Quite amazing no one has been indicted since 09/08.

No argument. Get our fiscal house in order and stay out of our personal house.

And it appears no one will be. However this is movement on the civil front.

The Republicans need to stop blaming the messenger.

Hard to see how the GOP can accommodate its so-called fiscal conservatism with its conservative social activism.

That's why we don't believe the ones who claim to be fiscally conservative.

There's a party which needs to split.

Yeah, you are right. Obama's dinner buddy/Goldman CEO Lloyd Blankfein is the biggest dirtbag. Nice company Obama keeps.
