Default Why Is Mexico Asking the U.S. Senate for a Registry of U.S. Gun Owners?

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013...-s-gun-owners/

"Mexican lawmakers will ask the U.S. Senate to create a registry of all commercialized firearms in border states, which includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Mexico says it will make it easier to trace guns used in violent attacks.

The measure was reportedly approved on January 9 by Mexico’s Permanent Commission, a government entity that meets when Mexico’s Senate and the Chamber of Deputies is in recess. Gun owners in Arizona are calling the proposal “foolish” and an “invasion of privacy.”"

I'm not surprised at the cavalier attitudes, but the ignorance here is astounding.

It's basically American demand for illegal drugs, and often American weapons, which are tearing a Nation apart. Our own neighbor mind you.

But yeah, not our problem. We got ours.

You're right, the ignorance is astounding, that America is to blame for Mexico's problems and their own government bears no responsibility.

Mexico's government has a level of corruption that only Chicago could be proud of.

The weapon of choice in Mexico is the Avtomat Kalashnikova and you can't buy them in the states. Automatic weapons are not purchased in the states and sent Mexico.

If the U. S. is such a bad influence on Mexico, why don't they build a border wall and keep us out?

Without commenting on the merits of Mexico’s request, didn’t you just answer your own question with “Mexico says it will make it easier to trace guns used in violent attacks” in the body of your post?
