Tell me, if you moved from Balmer, would you raise your kids to support Baltimore teams? Then, once you've answered that, tell me who you would want your kids to support if your new town didn't have a baseball team? I can't wait for your response.
YOU of all people are asking not one but TWO hypothetical question's of someone? ...and are "waiting" for a response??????

Good grief, it doesn't get funnier or more hypocritical than that.

Actually, thank you for linking to that Washington Post article. It clearly lists all of the reasons why Cooke didn't build in D.C. and then merely mentions Campbell's grandstanding threat. Like I said, it didn't have any affect at all in Cooke's decision to leave. The environmental issues, lease deal and all of the foot-dragging being done by the city were the reasons. Again, you don't know what you're talking about and you're using sources that back ME up.

You do that while you don't answer mine. Hilarious.

You still don't understand what the word NEVER means. When you finally get your head out of your rear, what is the first thing you will do? See, that's impossible to answer because you will NEVER get your head out. Pretty simple really.

Most would raise their kids to have a mind of their own and hope they root for the teams you root for, if not that's fine too.

Actually, thank you for linking to that Washington Post article.
I had to do it twice and make it easier than it already was, you're really not good at this, are you?
Like I said, it didn't have any affect at all in Cooke's decision to leave. The environmental issues, lease deal and all of the foot-dragging being done by the city were the reasons.
again your opinion or my opinion doesn't matter. What does matter is that all listed reasons are the reasons and they are public record, you can't just conveniently eliminate the one that you don't like.
Again, you don't know what you're talking about and you're using sources that back ME up.
Clearly YOU are wrong, as you always are.

It had ZERO bearing on Cooke looking outside the city. Zero, zip, zilch, none. You can pretend it does just like you pretend changing the name will help Indians. I prefer to live in the real world on both counts.

We'll add your post to the long list of ridiculously dumb stuff you post inspite of the glaring evidence that all can see to the contrary.
Your very words betray you again.

YOU are pretending that I said that it would help Indians because I never said changing the racist name would "help" them.

I prefer to live in the real world on both counts.
    Wrong.
It's quite obvious you exist in Bizzaro world.

    *looks at watch*

What the hell. Poor guy has waited long enough.

I would make it known that being a Yankee fan and NOT being from NYC usually makes you look like a d-bag. The same as wearing your pants low. The same could be said of Steelers fans not from Pittsburgh and Duke fans who never attended Duke.

Maybe years from now the word poser will still make sense to that generation.

If they wanted to do it beyond that, that's on them. Kids usually try to avoid becoming their parents, so it's bound to happen, although it didn't happen in the house I grew up in.

    That good enough for you?

Redskins fans ignore their racist name along with the fact that the redskins were the last team to integrate. And that was only after they were forced to do so. Redskins have a history of racism. I would be ashamed to be a fan, never mind the fact they suck

I don't think that's fair. A lot of kids follow the teams their parents introduce them to. A lot of Steelers fans here have parents from Pittsburgh who left when the steel industry was dying.

Great. I wear my pants appropriately and my family is from New York. I hope this is enough for you. I would get a note from my father where he would accept blame for me being a Yankees fan but he's dead.
