Default Jimmy Carter acknowledges grandson involved with edited tape of Romney's 47% comment

"Former president Jimmy Carter told CNN's Piers Morgan that President Obama personally thanked his grandson for his role in the release of the infamous video of Mitt Romney's "47 percent" remarks last week.

"When James went to meet President Obama, President Obama ran across the room, embraced him and thanked him profusely for his time, by the way," Carter said in an interview airing Thursday evening."

James Carter IV, Jimmy Carter's Grandson, Arranged Mitt Romney Video Release

The grandson of former President Jimmy Carter and a self-fashioned Democratic opposition researcher, the younger Carter had watched countless hours of footage of Republican Mitt Romney and made it a habit to search YouTube every few days for keywords like "Romney" and "Republicans." . . .

Something told him there might be more there than the brief clip posted on the YouTube channel "Anne Onymous." . . .

So Carter, 35, of Atlanta, set out track down the source of the video. He sent a message to the YouTube user seeking details. No luck. But then, after sharing links to the video on Twitter, Carter realized he had a new follower with the same name as the YouTube account. He quickly shot off a direct message.

"They were wary at first," Carter said in an interview with The Associated Press. "But they did respond." . . .

    And the rest is history.

Edited? Where do you get that from?

And in point of fact, anyone who is too damned stupid not to realize that in this day and age there is always a risk of this, is probably not fit to be President. Get into the 21st century people!!!!

Should we start looking for a replacement?

Against that tension-filled backdrop, Obama was captured on a hot mic Monday telling Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that a deal is possible if he can be given time to get past the election.

Even those folks who are on the government dole can't except they are losers. They all have their sob stories as to why they can't get a job. Every high school principle saw these losers with an excuse for failure would end up on welfare.

You're right. Obama seems to think the two are the same.

"Late Tuesday evening, Jacobson obtained the following comment from David Corn of Mother Jones:

According to the source, the recording device inadvertently turned off. The source noticed this quickly and turned it back one [sic]. The source estimates that one to two minutes, maybe less, of recording was missed.

Corn was forced to update his original post, which promised the "full" video, to reflect the fact that a key portion of the video is, in fact, missing.

There is no way to know, without the missing footage, exactly what Romney said. On Monday evening, Romney called for a complete video of his remarks to be released."
