Well, you all knew I would pipe in sometime, didn't you?

My wife and I thorughly enjoy the place, as it is easier for us to leave the kids at home for an evening (the two teenaged girls watching the younger ones) to catch a show, have some dinner, and lose (or win - like I did the other night...$1,009 on a $1 progressive) some money.

We have had no really bad experiances there. Yes, the panels are blocking a lot of the casino off, but at least they are not torn and dirty. They are only relocating machines so that the tables can be put in, and look good when they do get in.

I am almost sure that MD Live's revenue is going to double when the table games arrive, sometime in mid-spring. That is what people have asked for all along. As long as they keep the minimum bets at a reasonable level, I think they will see big profits. It is just too bad that Maryland law does not allow comped drinks. I understand about M.A.D.D. and all that, but it would increase profits above and beyond.

I would rather drive to Delaware Park and play poker there. Big poker rooms. Lots of different tournaments to get in. It's gonna take a while for the pit bosses to get used to different things that can happen at the table. DP doesn't comp drink either.

How much winnings do you have to have in Md before they take taxes out. At DP it's $5,000

I understand it is $1200.00. When I won the $1,009.00 the other day, I asked one of the slot attendants, and he said $1,200.00, and the machine would lock up, promting a visit by one of the slot attendants who would take down your info.

Maryland gets it's money, one way or the other!

I forgot about the ambiance of the place. It was a bit dull compared to an Atlantic City casino. The exciting "Live" has not yet been reached. Not a lot of laughter and camaraderie happening.

Haven't been to "Live" and have no desire to do so. As I mentioned before, my 1 visit to Perryville left me unimpressed. Flashy enough, OK but cheap drywall everywhere and the outside not looking unlike some multiplex movie house doesn't really make an Impression. Where is all the Glass & Chrome & Marble that you have in the Real casinos? Where are their Hotel towers? I go Away to Stay & Play, I'm just not a Day Tripper. In AC I can at least get a break on the rooms mid-week if not Free on Comp. AND I can drive there in less time than it takes to drive to OC here where there's Nothing for a 60yr old guy to do except Eat & Drink.

No, these places are still nothing more to me than glorified Slot Barns. So they'll put in a few tables. Probably not my Fav game, Pai-Gow Poker or even Mini-Bac that I'll fool around with at times. Roulette is OK at low minimums but that gets boring after a while and if the table gets crowded with people starting to reach all around and over you sitting there to place their chips, that's it, I'm done.

No thanks, I'll stick to just playing every other month or so for a couple days in AC and my 2X a year vacations in LV. Once you've spent any amount of time in LV, Everything else is 2nd rate. AC isn't LV but it ain't bad and it'll do till my next LV trip.

You sound like a contented person, I kind of envy that.

You know what you like and enjoy and have a plan.
