Default MOM's Wind Power, What No One Is Talking About (Corruption)

Last year there was some information about this in the press, this year, unless I missed it, there has been no mention- that numerous friends and associates of O'malley stand to gain big financially from O'malley's wind power bill:

And, of course, last year wind power interests made huge contributions to the Democratic Governor's Association ( read: O'Malley's Presidential campaign organization)

Word of Shank’s letter reached Del. John P. Donoghue, D-Washington, over the weekend, and he reacted with outrage, accusing Shank of trying to kill a project that would bring about 125 construction jobs.

Asked if Shank’s lease questions were legitimate, Donoghue said, “I really don’t care what he says in that letter .... He’s just trying to gum this up.”

Maryland Solar LLC is seeking to rent land near the complex of three state prisons on Roxbury Road, south of Hagerstown.

The annual rent is proposed at $32,050 for 250 acres for the first three years of the lease.

And Wayne Rogers too, whose company Synergics is located on Main St Annapolis and who happens to be a past chair of the MD Democratic Party

With Close Contacts, Md. Wind Project Gets Boost

    By Lisa Rein

When his plan for clean energy ran smack into a rare habitat on a rocky Appalachian ridge, Annapolis businessman Wayne L. Rogers turned to people he knew could help: his contacts in the Maryland General Assembly.

State law and the environmental protections it afforded all but scuttled his proposal last year for 24 windmills atop Backbone Mountain at the state's western edge. So Rogers waged a successful campaign to have the law changed -- and environmental review gutted -- for wind-energy projects such as his.

The case began three years ago when Rogers, a well-connected Maryland Democrat, applied to put up 26-story wind turbines on the state's highest spot, in Garrett County, 1 1/2 miles from the West Virginia line. The wind farm, he said, could power 20,000 homes....

amazing how the envirowhacos can be tossed aside to grease the wheels of the corruption, yet in common sense cases where the efected are not politically connected, the envirowhackos wishes are honored like the 10 commandments.

If wind power is such a great idea, why does the rate payer have to kick in for it?
