You have been ranting for years about Obama and you are still in the minority. The blind won, you lost. The sun still comes up every morning and sets every night. Armageddon hasn't arrived. Go back to sleep and wake up in 2016. Maybe another Bush will be around for you to fawn over.

"A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday showed 28 percent of Americans blamed congressional Republicans for the sequestration mess, 18 percent thought Obama was responsible and 4 percent blamed congressional Democrats. Thirty-seven percent blamed them all, according the online poll."

<emphasis mine> Smart people. Only partisan hacks will continue to insist that their side is not to blame and refuse to acknowledge their culpability.

I thought Obama wanted a fair and balanced approach? But you say he didn't want the cuts? He tried to bluff the Republicans with the defense cuts and only came out looking pretty stupid when the Republicans embraced those cuts. What a dumb sheet!

Stop lying. Obama never wanted the sequester. Does drastic spending cuts really sound like something the liberal Barack Obama would want? You Republicans are so funny. Haven't you been complaining forever that Obama spends too much? Now your blaming him for massive spending cuts. Such is life in the lying right-wing betaverse.

The truth about what is going on:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...h-republicans/
He’s also, in this deal, “moved first” on spending. So far, the Republicans have not proposed any further tax increases, but Obama has proposed quite a few spending cuts, including means-testing in Medicare and chained-CPI.

The bottom line on American budgetary politics right now is that Republicans won’t agree to further tax increases and so there’s no deal to be had. This is not a controversial perspective in D.C.: It’s what Hill Republicans have told me, it’s what the White House has told me, it what Hill Democrats have told me. The various camps disagree on whether Republicans are right to refuse a deal that includes further tax increases, but they all agree that that’s the key fact holding up a compromise to replace the sequester.

    ...

This had led to a lot of Republicans fanning out to explain what the president should be offering if he was serious about making a deal. Then, when it turns out that the president did offer those items, there’s more furious hand-waving about how no, actually, this is what the president needs to offer to make a deal. Then, when it turns out he’s offered most of that, too, the hand-waving stops and the truth comes out: Republicans won’t make a deal that includes further taxes, they just want to get the White House to implement their agenda in return for nothing. Luckily for them, most of the time, the conversation doesn’t get that far, and the initial comments that the president needs to “get serious” on entitlements is met with sage nods.

NBC's David Gregory and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) butted heads during an interview when the speaker insisted that President Obama did not have a plan to replace sequestration and Gregory disagreed. The interview was taped Friday afternoon after Boehner met with the president to discuss sequestration and aired on "Meet the Press" Sunday.

"Mr. Speaker, that's just not true," Gregory said. "They've made it very clear, as the president just did, that he has a plan that he's put forward that involves entitlement cuts, that involves spending cuts. That you've made a choice, as have Republicans, to leave tax loopholes in place and you'd rather have those and live with all these arbitrary cuts."

    Boehner called Gregory's objection "nonsense."
I wonder if they'll start another witch-hunt on David Gregory again, like when they failed to get him for that magazine thing.

    WH: OBAMA DID PROPOSE SEQUESTER

Sperling Admits Obama Misled in Debate: The President Did Propose the Sequester

White House economic adviser Gene Sperling admits that, yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama's plan: "We put forth the design of" the sequestration, Sperling finally admits after a long back-and-forth.
No surprise the Dems' Propaganda machine, a.k.a. the MSM, has the sheeple thinking otherwise.

Yes, Republicans wanted cuts, but not necessarily these cuts specifically. But with a lying administration like Obama's who claim they want a fair and balanced approach but refuse to discuss any type of Medicare and SS reform, the Republicans will take what ever cuts they can. Obama misjudged the Republicans concern over defense spending cuts. It backfired on him which is why it has become important that his PR gets the message the out that Republicans were a part of the sequestration plan. But watch, it these cuts turn out to be a good thing, his PR approach will be to ensure the Americans know it was his plan all along. And how about tax reform to help jump start the economy?
