They can think what they want but the only way the government has legal standing to restrict what you do with your body is if the government owns it. The government might own your body but they sure don't own mine and I will do with it what I will regardless of what those a holes think.
Actually the next thing to go from the stadiums might actually be alcohol. Because they just painted a huge target on their arses. To the best of my knowledge no one has ever sued the studiums for exposure to second hand smoke. But they have been sued because someone drinking there drove and killed a loved one. I can hear the liability attorney's now.
They will not allow smoking in the stadiums. It's too dangerous. They can't trust smokers to be responsible. But the can trust drunks to be responsible even though they know drinking alcohol impares your judgement. You can smoke a pack or even a carton of cigarettes and still operate your vehicel safely. But with alcohol some people can be DUI on their third beer. Other's will be DUI by their fourth beer. Pretty much everyone will be DUI by their sixth beer. The stadium will only allow you buy two beers at a time. But you can drink them and go buy two more. If your a little tipsy you can send your buddy to buy two more. So while my client was at the stadium they protected him from second hand smoke that with continued exposure over 10, 20, 40 or 60 years might give him cancer. But they willingly and knowingly sold him alcohol that could and DID KILL HIM a 1/2 hour after leaving the stadium. They failed to protect him from alcohol and he died because of it. I rest my case.
The US Constitution does give the government the ability to provide for the general welfare. But where health is concerned I don't know of anything that would give them the power to compell health by law. Thank God you USDA's reccomended diet was only reccomended and not compelled by law. Doctors now call that diet a prescription for death. Then there was that wonderful piece of health advice called Reefer Madness. I don't even complettely trust my doctor with my health. Why would I trust my health to a bunch of whores that would sell any one of us into an early grave for campaign contributions or a lucrative job after they leave office? You're making a billion dollar donation to my Super PAC. Of course you can market cynide pills as a permanent cure for insomnia in low income areas. If you take one of those and you will sleep forever. HA HA! My kids can hardly wait to get in on all that low income abandoned property.![]()

Speaking of filthy litter left behind by smokers, why has no law been passed to demand that cigarette filters be biodegradable?
This one sensible matter that the mayor of NYC should take on, to get the ball rolling across the country.
Has there been any enforcement action against a bar or other entity for a smoking ban violation ?
I see. So nonsmokers don't bathe or do laundry. Well they have bigger problems than people smoking in the open air. Do the nonsmokers clean someone clock for getting smoke on them? There is always that guy that jumps up cheering and spills his beer on everyone around him. Then comes the fight. So apparently the stadium authority doesn't care what you smell like or how many fights that causes.
No officer, I haven't been drinking. Yes I do smell like a brewery. It's because the guy behind me at the stadium spilled his beer all over me. What do you mean step out of the vehicle? I have not been drinking! I AM NOT GETTING BELIGERANT!![]()
And smoking in the open air is not.
