Who needs Kegasus when the Preakness infield party will have rappers Pitbull and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis headlining this year's entertainment?
LinkyThere's no official word yet, but Chuckas said Monday afternoon that Kegasus, the half-man, half-centaur mascot, would likely not return this year. Preakness' InfieldFest has become such a significant event in recent years, Chuckas said, that a mascot might no longer be neccessary.
"The brand is very strong. It's become a first-class event," Chuckas said via telephone. "The Jockey Club's need to rely on Kegasus is less than ever."
Does mean songs like "Dopeball" will be featured this year?
