أتمنى أن يشعر كلّ واحد بفرح كونه مسيحيًّا، بكونه محبوبا من الله الذي بَذل ابنه الوحيد من أجلنا.

The Pope would never suggest than non-Catholics are somehow doomed to hell. Absurd. No doctrine to suggest that. I think troubadour was havng fun and Cameron sort of mangled what he said.

The other: making fun of other's religions is just ignorant. Be it Catholic or Methodist or Muslim. The casual trashing if fellow human beings deeply held beliefs--how crude. Sort of need to consider the source.

Then you should know that Troubadour's post is more true than false.

IOW, it is not nearly a joke.

I don't know Troubadour, but suspect he was trying to be funny. Regardless, he misrepresents the Catholic and the Pope's position. What Troubadour joked about, and you apparently believe, is a parody of Catholic thought.

    Really?

What is "Catholic thought" about the possibility for salvation outside the one, true, church?

Until they turn over their child rapists instead of shuffling them back into the system the jerks are in the Vatican and have earned the disgrace they have brought upon themselves. Read up. Learn about the facts. Find out why Benny is beating a path out the back door. The RCC is finished in the West unless they come clean. As a catholic you should demand accountability.

The Pope Emeretus has now left the Vatican, with his papacy ending over an hour ago.

Good Bye and Good Riddance..........................maybe just maybe Catholics will clean house and send their known predator's to prison for the rapes of thousands of children over decades and decades. Just maybe a light will come and tell them its the right thing to do.................................. or hell will be crowded!
