Jesus is cool with everyone. That's what the new covenant is about. He teaches us to love one another, purify our hearts and to be very careful about how we judge others.

Why do you think public places of assembly have male and female restrooms?

    We like restroom discrimination.

My thoughts exactly. Sounds like a couple of parents in search of their 15 minutes and willing to use their kid as a football in order to get them. I despise people like that; they shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Some of us still have a modicum of modesty.

If we are truly modest, we would like single-person restrooms instead of having to share them with anybody.

Seriously? That's how you define modesty and wanting privacy? I don't even know why guy's bathrooms have urinals and have to stand next to each other to pee with little to no privacy. But that's for them to work out.

They usually put little shields between the urinals. It wasn't always like that.

Getting back to the sitting business, why should it matter to me whether there is a man or a woman in the next stall? There is still a next stall with somebody in it.

If it doesn't matter to you that's all that matters.

What I'm saying is I wish there wasn't another stall with someone in it.

You do realize that a eunuch is not the same thing as transgender. A male eunuch generally remains a male (accepting normal variances as per the general male population), despite his inability to function sexually.

    1. Some men are born without the ability to reproduce (impotency, birth defect, etc.).

    2. Some are made eunuchs, a common practice at the time.

    3. Some make themselves eunuchs for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. This is figurative language, IMHO. It doesn’t mean that they emasculate themselves in order to get to heaven but that they forsook congress with women (practiced some form of celibacy) in order to devote themselves to a religious lifestyle, as was the case with the Essenes among the Jews of 1st Century Palestine.

I seriously doubt that Jesus would have conceived of the transgendered, let alone been “cool” with them.

a few things....1st of all some people really need to get out more.....the world is NOT black and white....sometimes the mind does not fit the plumbing and what about hermaphrodites??? Also one of the BIG problems in this country is how we equate NUDITY with sex....it's not black and white and one has nothing to do with the other...additionally not ALL transgendered peeps want to have re-assignment surgery so again please get out and educate yourself and for anyone talking about taking this child away from the parents...SERIOUSLY!!!

But doing so because "she" has a penis is not. Expecting the other little girls to suck it up and deal with what amounts to a very complex and adult-driven issue is what is unreasonable.

So who has the problem? The parents who want their child to use whatever bathroom is available or the school who made accomadations?
    My children are my legacy.

This illustrates well why some find themselves not believing in a Jesus that would be so narrow minded.

Jesus would be cool with them. He didn't condemn people, but he did tell them to go and sin no more i.e. purify your heart.

If people are truly transgendered in that they are one sex in their mind, yet are living in a body of the other and it is caused physically, do you think He would condemn them for something that is no fault of their own?

Honestly, I am not smart enough to know the answers to these questions. But I have a hard time believing He will condemn someone who was born the way there are. Can I tell you who is born that way and who may have mental issues, no. Do you think He condemns people who have mental problems through no fault of their own?

Your religiou hang ups are not my problem. I'm not a missionary; in fact, I could care less who believes in Jesus or not. You can make Jesus into anything you want him to be if you like. (*) But why bother leaning on him in the first place? If you’re going to invent your own religion, why not go all out and start from scratch?

(*) We have such a wide assortment these days. Jesus the Flaming Liberal, Jesus the Rock Solid Conservative, Jesus the Gay Rights Advocate, Jesus the Abortion Lover, Jesus the Women’s Libber, Jesus the Mystic, the Magician, the Hippie Philosopher, the Radical, the Socialist, the Revolutionary, Jesus the You Name It, and yes, now, the Jesus who is “cool” with the transgender. Somehow the real Jesus – the flesh and blood man who was mostly a pious/reforming Jew who lived in 1st Century Palestine and was most probably killed by the Romans for being a little too much of a rabble rouser for their tastes – has pretty much disappeared intot he backwarters of everyone's self-interests.

I thought this was about a little boy, a male 1st grader who dresses and thinks he's a girl.

    But still not a girl.

Let him be a kid, let him play dress-up, let him paint his nails, call himself Sally, whatever.

But he's not a girl. Not physically, not genetically.

Thinking you're a girl does not make it so.
As a matter of scientific fact, having a genuine female gender identity is the only requirement for genuinely being a girl. I've explained the science to you elsewhere, so you can't say you're not aware of it. If you have trouble understanding it, I'll be happy to try and help you understand - if you're willing to make a genuine effort to learn. However, I get the feeling you'd rather preach hatred then try to understand the medical condition which the young girl in the story suffers from.

The parents are pushing this with no regard to the other kid's rights. I doubt the parents of the rest of the girls there are thrilled with the idea.
Young kids don't really care about these things.

The parents are trying to protect their daughter from discrimination due to her medical condition - what about her rights?

The obvious solution to that is not to teach hatred and bigotry to kids. You act as if hatred were inevitable, but it's really not. You might even be surprised that the younger generation doesn't have the same problems with transgender as your generation has. Also surprising is that kids often learn acceptance from proper school policies, despite having hateful parents.
