Default BOB WOODWARD:A 'Very Senior' White House Person Warned Me I'd 'Regret' What I'm Doing

"Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a "very senior person" at the White House warned him that he would "regret doing this," the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined."

Wouldn't he probably try a "wassup" to seem cool, followed by his famous fist bump?

I don't know this is getting serious..I think Obama calls Steve Croft or Jimmy Fallon and goes defcon 3 and breaks out the NCAA brackets...or he can just get some BS to Chuck Todd and Rolling Stone and hits the links.

    Transparency indeed.

All of this (like all the faults of this administration) leads back to Obama's inability to engage the republicans. He's a bit like OMalley in that (in my opinion) both are thin-skinned and revert to a natural snarkiness inherent in today's politics as well as their nature. Gotcha politics. Woodward's depiction of the White House is probably spot on.

Why wouldn't Woodward regret making the claim that it is madness for the president to follow the law? Poor guy is getting senile. He should regret tossing his credibility in the crapper like that.

The aide "yelled at me for about a half hour," Woodward said, and then sent a follow-up email that read, in part: "You're focusing on a few specific trees that give a very wrong impression of the forest. But perhaps we will just not see eye to eye here. … I think you will regret staking out that claim."

Officials often threaten reporters that they will "regret" printing something that is untrue, but Woodward took the remark as a threat.

I can usually conclude that anyone using stereotype, mundane, & errant metaphors to make a point has absolutely no clue what he's talking about.

& If one is judged by the company he keeps, then we may judge presidents of the past 50 yr irrevocably insane, cuz they all've kept pretty s^!tty-@$$ company.

    Exactly.

    And don't forget the racism.

    Honestly, that seems pretty innocuous.

I mean, I certainly wouldn't classify at as a threat.

They didn't say he's regret printing something, but "staking out that position." As in: "I think history will prove you're wrong and you will look foolish."

Woodward is probably exaggerating. What's the worst thing the WH could do to him other than denying him the level of access to the administration as he has had in the past?

He's showing himself to have a huge ego and acting as if HE is the story, not the folks he's reporting on...

Based on the actual quote as posted earlier in this thread it seems that Woodward is indeed exaggerating, or at the very least he misread what was said to him.
