Default Baltimore Drivers Lose $1,800 a Year to Bad Roads and Congestion - HOGWASH!

Maybe our political "leaders" in Annapolis should have thought of that when they raided the Transportation Trust Fund last year of $68 MILLION to "help balance the state's operating budget". In other words, their continual overspending put them in a bind they couldn't get out of and now they need to start with the scare tactics to lure their blind sheep into a sense of, "yeah, we need a gas tax to improve the roads." This no different than the scare tactics and doom and gloom currently being spewed by the White House to undermine people's thinking that sequestration is the fault of the Republicans.

Total hogwash from the political and dangerous liberal left. What do they both have in common that have brought this country to its knees? Uncontrolled spending.

A bargain at twice the price compared to living in the urban areas.

Default Baltimore drivers lose $1,800 a year to bad roads and congestion

The report says two-thirds of the region's major roads are in poor or mediocre condition while the remaining third are in fair or good condition. A quarter of the major bridges in the state show significant deterioration or do not meet modern design standards. TRIP obtained the information from the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Drivers appeared to fare slightly better than in 2011, the last time the review was conducted. Then, the typical Baltimore motorist was losing $2,226 a year to shabby and traffic-clogged roads.

Maybe so, but, it still speaks volumes of the underhandedness these politicians are willing to stoop to in order to justify raising taxes to cover their drunken sailor type spending. And it's no different than what's been going on on Capitol Hill since October 2011 in cutting the deficit - out of control spending by the democrats unwilling to make concessions. And the worst part of it all? The voters keep on re-electing these same jackazzes.

This report is probably funded by OMarty .... so they can raise the gas tax by quoting this study

If they raise $100 million in new transportation taxes, then maybe a whole $5 may get set aside for actual road repair.
