I don't know what is wrong with him. But his ERA almost makes that of Bedard and Ray look good.
Oh, my. It's twice that of Bedard's now.
Rivera's ERA is 12.15![]()
those kind of era's put the orioles hitters in to shock.Originally Posted by bronco

Rivera .1 Inning and 4 Earned Runs and as Bronco already alluded to a 12.15 Season ERA. Fellow Oriole Fans, I say HURRAY! Could the ending of the yoke of Yankee dominion over the Orioles be at hand? I shore hope so, I hope, I hope. Oh, the sheer joy I am experiencing now cannot be described. Oh, the SHEER JOY of seeing this happen to Rivera is so, so GREAT. YEA!![]()

not his age. If he's missing his location it is something off in his pitching mechanics. He's releasing too early or too late or the angle of his arm is off or he's coming off the rubber differently. They'll figure it out and fix it.
he's a walking sack of bones.

Whatever the problem is he finally got a save yesterday and only gave up a bloop hit and got his ERA down to 10.57..
Is he back to the old Mariano?
I don't know.
Stay tuned....
Let's face it, he will never get back to being the "old" Mariano. The guy's waaaaayy past his prime. He's not going to dominate hitters and be able to blow hitters away with his cutter like he used to, which is good for the rest of the AL East and the league for that matter.Originally Posted by bronco
