Default Dallas radio station obsessed with Aparicio

http://www.theunticket.com/nasty-nes...-anti-semitic/

I don't really know what this is all about, but there seems to be some real hatred of the guy. Can anyone shed light on this spat?

I like the one and only reply to the link posted...

"I think we need to make this the official “Nasty Nester Is A Douche” headquarters. Let’s show this **** what The Ticket (and theunticket) is all about….he doesn’t want the barrage of shtick we could unload."

I can envision some 300 lb balding 30 year old white guy sitting behind his souped up Dell playing with photoshop all day like his other e-thug friends. People like that crack me up - "roar we'll destroy you in our blog!!"

Too funny...

I can't think of any particular Dallas vs. Baltimore issues, but it sure seems personal to those guys. Did Aparicio ever work in Dallas or something?

This is Nestor's response from WNST website:

"It has come to my attention and the attention of many members of the WNST family that there are false allegations being purported about me on the internet regarding a “hatred” of Jewish people.

Rumors are running rampant and I want to put an end to these destructive lies.

These allegations of anti-Semitism are absolutely false and devastating, not only to me and my family, but also to the many people who work for WNST and are involved in our business and personal lives.

My many, many friends, business partners, relatives, sponsors and lifelong associates of the Jewish faith – literally thousands of people over the course of my life -- know that these allegations are completely false as well. My track record of work and relationships in the Jewish community over the course of my life and career speaks for itself.

I will have a much longer, more detailed explanation at a later date. My legal team will be working toward a resolution and legal action will be taken.

This is the result of a malicious, vicious and completely unprovoked nine-year personal attack on me and my radio station by a sports “shock jock” radio station in Dallas that will be borne out in great detail at an appropriate time.

I’m hard at work in Phoenix and will be focusing on the important details of doing our work here in preparation for Super Bowl XLII.

Many friends have reached out to me today to support me and I appreciate it. It's been very difficult for me and my loved ones to see these horrendous lies and allegations take on a life of their own.

At this point, I hope that my privacy will be respected. Thank you."

Isn't this exactly what Nestor has done to the Orioles with his "Free the Birds" protest?

Not that I am a fan, or even recognize little nestor's glorified bullhorn as a viable media outlet, but you know that the antisemitism claims are false....

angelos is Greek, not Jewish!

Don't exactly know how you came to that conclusion. While Nestor has no qualms about saying Angelos is a lousy owner who's mismanaged the club and should sell it (as many posters have said here as well), I don't recall reading that he's cast aspersions on how Angelos feels toward any ethnic group.

I think I'd have to hear a tape before I'd believe it. Besides, he also spelled the guy's name four different ways (Cobby, Corby, Corra and Corbra).

But he has a better case against the O's as opposed to he being labeled as a jew-hater

Sorry Swaggs, I hadn't seen this thread when I posted my own on the "Ravens" forum.

Anyway, I originally heard about this when I read Nestor's blog and decided to see what exactly was on the Internet.

Anyway, here's another synopsis of the situation involving Nestor and the Dallas guys--looks like it's written from the dallas perspective though:

No worries HF.

Sounds like some serious childishness on both sides. This is probably a situation where nobody will ever get the real story.

Default Nestor, A Dallas Perspective

Baltimore citizens,

I am a Dallas-area sports/media blogger -- www.uweblog.net -- who has posted about the Ticket/Nestor issue.

Here's what has happened. In the late 1990s (per my estimation) both stations were at the Super Bowl. One of the Ticket's more irreverent, schtick guys, Gordon Keith, took a wireless mic out and around radio row and probably talked with Nestor (was probably sarcastic, asked dumb question, was obviously not discussing the sports) and more than likely offended Nestor in some way. Nestor probably assumed Keith was trying to get some kinda dumb reaction.

Gordon is a bit of a cult media guy in Dallas, but even those who will admit he's over the top think Nestor overreacted to whatever happen.

This is clear because Nestor tattled to the NFL and the NFL told the Ticket to leave Nestor alone.

Well, that's been about a decade ago. Every Super Bowl, both parties see each other and Nestor still holds some kind of grudge.

This year, the Ticket guys talked before the Super Bowl about legitimately extending an olive branch because A) it's just awkward; and B) it's no longer funny.

So that brings us to the Jewish comment. I have no doubt he said it because the Ticket can't afford a lawsuit for going with that in a top 4 market drivetime radio program.

For one, no real listener in Dallas or Ticket fan cares for Nestor. They don't think about him. There's no obsession. It's kind of a Super Bowl week sideshow.

Two, The Ticket never discusses Nestor unless he tattles to the NFL or if he infers in a negative connotation that one of the guys is a member of the Hebrew faith.

Frankly, the way that Nestor has acted over the last six or so years I've been cognizant of the dispute, I assumed he was at least 65 years old, unable to take a joke. A real sports-heavy guy that has no time to joke whenever covering a Chicago/Indy Super Bowl for Baltimore radio. It was shocking to see he was 30 or 40 something.

Frankly, Nestor seems like a crybaby and maybe someone who's not particularly clear in the Jewish faith, who thought he would somehow shock The Ticket with an off-the-cuff comment into submission. Instead, they went public.

So that's a review from the Dallas point of view. Note: The Ticket nor its listeners care a lot less than nestor would like to think.

The obsession is still strange. Oh well, they're a radio station, they carry mics, they obviously have it on tape. So there you go...

I find it humorous that somebody would register solely for the purpose of writing THAT MUCH about some guy and take several shots at him, all while claiming that there is no obsession and nobody cares about him.

Really? If that's so true, you wouldn't know it from from the countless blogs on the Unticket Stie. They are obviously obsessed with the guy to no end.

To show just how much they "don't think about" Nestor, and to illustrate how much of an obbsession they "don't have" about him, just look at their abundance of "non-Nestor" related blogs such as the following:

"Hitler Hates Nasty Nestor": http://www.theunticket.com/hitler-hates-nasty-nestor/

"Nasty Nestor-Original Song": http://www.theunticket.com/nasty-nestor-original-song/

"Nestor Hates the Jew--Anti-Semetic?": http://www.theunticket.com/nasty-nestor-original-song/

"Nasty Nestor - Nastor Aparicio - D**CHE BAG": http://www.theunticket.com/nasty-nes...io-******-bag/

"Gordon Keith & Nasty Nestor Are Best Buddies Now": http://www.theunticket.com/gordon-ke...t-buddies-now/

"Nasty Nestor Is A ******": http://www.theunticket.com/nasty-nester-is-a-******/

You're right uweblog, you guys in Dallas have no obsession with Nestor at all!
