Default A screensaver for gearheads

http://smallblockscreensaver.com/default.aspx

I've used this for a while now, and still like to watch it. I use the "both" version. It is an animated assembly of 2 different engines ... pretty cool.

disclaimer: it shows GM engines, so the die-hard Ford lovers/GM haters might find it offensive

Can you guess for whom that disclaimer was targeted?

That all depends ... just like <ahem> SOME Ford owners ... some owners of any other brand vehicles might well dislike GM's. While others just like all gearhead stuff. With me, it's all just a fun rivalry. The guy who was my closest buddy for many years was a diehard Ford lover, and we spent many a fun hour cutting on each others' cars.

I've never seen a Ford screensaver that wasn't full of stangs.

Now here's an engine: the P&W Wasp 4360 which could develop 4,300 HP with two turbochargers along with the supercharger. Essentially 4 banks of 7-cylinder radial engines connected together, each offset a bit. The old Spruce Goose museum in Long Beach had a motorized sectioned one of these (as in the picture) with the crankshaft turning about 2-3 RPM so you could watch all the parts move. I saw it several times and all the time I watched it totaled up to probably an hour or more.

But that engine is too big to fit in a Mustang.
