Palin: Christie has "clearly made a terrible mistake"
Quote:
One day before the election that will decide the fate of humanity (right?), Chris Christie is busy with pesky copyright issues. It started last night when HuffPo called him out for an ad that swiped footage from Monty Python's Flying Circus. Then they called Michael Palin, who was not pleased: "He's clearly made a terrible mistake. It was the endorsement of Sarah Palin he was after — not that of Michael Palin." Christie's campaign quickly scrubbed the ad from its site and removed it from YouTube. Catastrophe averted.
Until today, when industrious bloggers found a different Christie ad that used stolen stock footage. How could a viewer possibly figure that out? Watermarks, of course. Again, the video was taken down. The campaign bought rights to the footage and then restored it, watermarks and all.

I heard he double-dipped a chip once. Tar and feathering is too good for him.

copyright infringment is a bit more serious then taking the tag off your matress. We have college students being fined millions of dollars for stealing intellectual property from the music industry... i guess that is nothing as well

This stuff is embarrassing, but hardly very substantive. Corzine is a Goldman Sach slimeball who also crapped on the grave of every NJ murder victim by abolishing the state's death penalty. He is pure, unadulterated scum, and while Christie is far from perfect he is the better candidate.

Does it rise to the level of an act capable of creating the destruction of the entire US economy? Don't think so...Obamy gettin' a beatdown.

I don't recall saying it did. I wasn't aware that was part of the OP and I could give two craps about either politician in this case. But my momma always said 2 wrongs don't make a right. Seems like neither of them are worthy of such a position in government to create laws. How can you create laws and break them yurself

I would say Palin is far more successful than you.
Nothing like a little blind ridicule without substance to throw out there.

The (until you know otherwise accidental) use of a STOCK video, that was taken down when a mistake was realized is hardly worthy of a lecture regarding morality. My mom always said to pick your battles because there are only some that really matter. You do have the ability to measure the difference between a car accident and a murder...or is it all the same to you?

Ignore her. She is just a feminazi. She thinks that all women are GOD, and that they should totally be able to abort as many babies as they want because they are in charge! Men should have absolutely no opinion on it whatsoever, because they are the cause of all problems, and mess everything up. She is just disgusted by Palin because she doesn't relish in her gender and kill babies with apathy.

Stealing material for your ads is not exactly a mattress tag violation, though neither is it likely to be a candidate approval level of decision, he probably would have assumed his staff or ad agency would take care of those things. It does speak to his staff management skills though

In a country where intellectual property is a sizable portion of our economy that is not a very defensible position. Pure partisanship, if this was a Dem you would be calling for his head and making cracks about liberals feeling free to take other people's property.

Gosh. Cudos to you for being reasonable. Don't at all mind the mild negative; your acknowledgment that it's much todo about nothing is completely and unashamably admired. Let's argue over policy, not nonsense.

Um, it was Michael Palin, of Monty Python fame, who made the comment, not Sarah Palin.
Although, Michael Palin has surely been far more successful than Sarah, unless you want to count success as getting someone to write a book for you, or even read one.
