I like deathmatch mode better than team mode anyway, so I guess thats why I really prefer COD4. I can crawl into a hole or sit in a window with a big field of fire and kill anything that moves. BF2 is only good with FF on and a server that kicks buttheads.
I agree the vehicles can be overpowering, but that's why I used to play on the servers that didn't have them. And you are right you have to play BF2 on a good server, some people on there can be complete idiots.

The thing is that in real life those tanks and attack choppers are overpowering, the difference is that in real life you can counter that. For example there is no way a chopper is taking a direct stinger, or two or three, and still fly. No way. Hell a decent placed shot from the .50 cal Barrett would bring down a chopper, in BF2 that rifle has no effect on machinery. In World War 2, the Fins used to use heavy logs to disable Soviet tanks. In BF2 it takes like seven anti-tank missiles. It's ridiculous, but like I said I would never play on the servers that enabled them to counter that. It's lame just being a target for some guy who is good in a chopper.

And deathmatch mode is fun, I admit. Team mode is fun on BF2 but I used to play with the same squad so I guess that made it more fun. Do you play PS3 or 360? On xbox live my ID is EagleCC, add me if you use it.

BF2 is a great PC game in a sea of great PC games. Certainly it's still one of the best PC shooters out right now, years after it's release.
But BF2 is a pimple on COD's butt when it comes to FPS gameplay on a console.

And Battlefield: Bad Company for Xbox 360/ PS3 (and its inexpensive but entertaining sequel, battlefield 1943 [$15 download only stand-alone game for 360 and PC]) blows BF2's gameplay away. Less variety in vehicles, but destructible buildings and environments, gigantic maps, and great selection of weapons and classes.

I have BF2 on the Xbox but I let my live subscription slide. I mostly play on the PC. Right now the only games I am playing are CoD4 and just got Fallout 3 game of the year. Fallout is great, I should have gotten it when it was new.

Every time I try and snipe, as soon as the first guy I kill regenerates he's after me. I've found the snipe and move, snipe and move strategy is the only one where I can put a kill streak together.

Best strategy I use in Halo. I suck at sniping but if Im hit once I know where you are and Im after you unless you move. Good snipers move. Others liek to camp out which is a bad idea in most cases.

COD is a great game but as far as realistic nothing i have played matches the old Delta Force 2 game on the PC that i played 7-8 years ago now lol. That game was awesome with huge maps for online play, i would go out miles on maps and snipe 1600 meter shots, in which you have to take into account trajectory and wind. It was pretty dang awesome to say the least.

Dude. You really need to check out Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

It's a huge open world game. And its basically a war simulator. It's the anti-Call Of Duty. Bullet drop, wind resistance, etc. Also, it has the most advanced AI I have ever seen in a video game.

Takes about an hour to get used to the command system, but after that you will be hooked. It's the most realistic first person shooter ever, for sure.

I love MW2, but I also love Bad Company.

It'll be tough when Bad Company 2 comes out. The multiplayer isn't so much customizable like MW2

MW2 is one of the best games I've ever played, and I've been playing games since the NES days. The multiplayer is unbelievably addicting. My played time in game for 4 was over 16 days, I'll probably have double that by the time I'm done with this one.

anyone that plays on Live, feel free to add me - edreedisgod20 is my gamertag.
