Wings
Looking for some places on the weekends for football and wings. Wings being the priority.

Corner Stable in Leader Heights has the best dry wings, sticky honey ribs, and cheap Yeungling on tap. Plus they have a bunch of tvs with nice views. Although they did pre-empt the Ravens from the big tv for the Eagles once. Still, the tvs around the sides are plenty big enough, and you can sit right under them. Prices on food/beer are about half of what you pay around B-more, or at a chain restaurant. And the food is some of the best bar/football food around. It puts stuff like Rocky Run and Bill Batemans to shame.

I would suggest Padonia Station, Bill Batemans, or Buffalo Wild Wings.

Although I used to be a huge fan of Bill Batemen's, I cannot recommend them for wings (or really anything else) these days.
I have been to the Bateman's in Towson, Reisterstown (Chartley) and even the one in Hanover (PA), and every time recently the wings have been under cooked.
Not good.
We have stopped wasting our time going there. We will never be back.

Yeah, that's where we've been going. Haven't been happy for some time with them.

Looneys wings are the best . They give you big wings compared to batemens and they give ample celery and carrots.

Tom's Sports Tavern on Liberty Road.
There is nothing better, IMO.
Pickels Pub in RD comes second.

I'm still hoping that Wild Wing Cafe expands here at some point.. Two of them in Myrtle Beach and their wings are incredible.

CR Wings in Belair. Really great wings any way you want them. TV not so great...I wouldn't go there to watch the game, but we get take out all the time and take it home.

Any thoughts on The Greene Turtle? I went to the new one at Arundel Mills and thought they were quite good. And the atmosphere there was nice also.
Just my $.02.

Green Turtle has good food, I just don't like places that charge 5 bucks for a glass of beer, which seems to be most places these days.

Depending on where you're located, however, there is a BBQ place in Hagerstown, about 30 minutes west of Frederick, called Hempen Hill, which serves some of the best wings around. I tend to be really picky with the wings I eat. I don't like BWW's, or most of the chain places, as I don't think they're that great of quality. Hempen Hill doesn't have a lot of different flavors, however, their wings are top notch, fresh, and great in flavor. They come in two styles, smoked or fried, and two flavors; smoking or screamin.

Batemans has gone downhill. They have become another chain style resaturant..throw it in grease for a minute and call it a meal.
