Injuries were the main problem. It got to the point where Bayer took control of the team and ran some Wildcat offence. He threw the ball 3 times for 3 completions. And to add to the list he also made the game saving interception with 25 seconds left in the game. This backs up my point why Bayer should be player of the year. Elkton came to play also.

With the problems elkton was having it is good the kids showed up to play.

What grade is bayer in?

Are any of the injuries going to hurt them this week?
How are you feeling about this game against hereford?

Special teams and turnovers.

bayer is a junior

i think they will do fine. hereford is a good team and certainly would be considered the favorite, but nh will make a good showing.

also i think the fact that they played hereford in the season opener will help them. they know what to expect

Is the qb a junior also?

From what I remember nh has a couple early screw ups and they were down pretty quick so the game plan was out the window.
Well good luck if you can knock off Hereford it should bring some more respect to Harford County football.

I honestly think NH can pull off the upset.

The QB is a junior as well. These are the two main skill positions returning next year. Wait, I think a wr that has had a decent year may be back - Skrypyk. No doubt I butchered his name.

What about JT. Who's a senior?

4. HDG

If BM plays half as good as they diid last night they defeat NE next week, a Snow Hill loss to Stephen Dec and a HDG loss to Fallston should make things play out like above. While JT is the powerhouse of the 1 A east, a HDG vs JT upset in run one of the playoffs would give Bo Manor the chance to take the region assuming they upset Snow Hill which Massey ratings plays out as a close call of 23-22 in BM favor.

Like Quick said, I like the thought of making the trip to JT in the Regional Semi just to give these boys a chance to play at a higher level and get some exposure to some next level scouting which would most likely be there. Rumor was a scout was in the house at Bo-Manor last night.

The next couple of weeks should be interesting and fun! Good Luck to all.
Well right teams wrong order. Are you going to make the trip to Jtowne on Friday?

I thought I remeber hearing last year the qb was a sophmore. He played last year against jt right?

The main kids that grad. are Jake Mcginnes, Dave Miller. and Dominic Harper.

The main returners are Epe Henrique, Earnest Hawkins, Joel Scott, Shendel Case, and Chris Wright. I just hope they all stay elidgable. The kid I think will play qb next year has also been getting alot of play this year and scoring some TD's and he has some speed.

But as usual the line will be the problem.

When your dealing with such a close race it makes it tuff to get them all in the right order. I look at the Friday night game of Joppatowne and Bo Manor as the regional final only a week early. I assume you'll be there? Should be an interesting game.

Glad to see the bobcats were able to win a few games at the end of the season and salvage a more respectable record than last year. I also think the coach might have saved his job. Any thoughts on player returning next year and the state of the football program for Bel Air?

The Bobcats have some JV players that should strenghthen this team next year including their JV RB Singletary. They should be better in 2010.

Patterson Mill will lose their goto receiver Burke , and RB Anthony Jones. Losing Burke is "huge', but Wann is back, and 2 talented sophmore RB's should fill the void in the running game.

Are you kidding with even the thought of Alegi being fired after two seasons? The BA program did not have a winning record prior to him taking the job. Top that off with NO home field, practice facilities that are worse then any rec field in the county, low numbers in terms of varsity players, and JV players who were capable of playing varsity who wouldn't come up...

Not making excuses but it was pretty apparent all season long no one expected BA to do anything. Now they ended the season on a three game winning streak. All three of those weeks NO one on this forum picked them to win, nor be in the games at all.

Was Bel Air in danger of going 1-9 like everyone said, seemed like it 3 weeks ago...maybe the staff Alegi hired is finally starting to gem and make decisions that keep the team they have on the field in control of winning football games.

As for next season....the Bobcats need to fill holes on the offensive line that was led by a majority of seniors. BA will also need to replace the majority of its defensive backfield. What BA does not lack is an abundance of skill players coming up from the JV team. Lets just hope they actually want to come up...

I did not know you had an option to leave the JV team for Varsity. I thought it was mandatory?

You made some very good points at spots they had to fill
I am was saying that he was hired to make the program better and not to stay status quoe. If they stayed on the same 1-9 path along with the other distractions I would think he would be gone after 2 seasons 3 tops. Not matter the circumstances.

I think Alegi is making steps in the write direction. He has good assistants around him and the new facilities will also help the "building" of BA. The other "distractions" are blown out of proportion on this board...

Swim: You would think it would be mandatory but apparently BA had players who wouldn't come up...

Well there is part of your problem there. I would then kick that individual off both teams; it would nip that in the bud right then and there. You play at the pleasure of the team!
