The really nice thing about the game was that you didn't even notice the referees until the 4th quarter when they had to repeatedly fix the time on the clock. The game was very cleanly played with Gilman being flagged for holding (declined), motion, and a kickoff out of bounds - that's it. While McDonogh played penalty free ball!! And no obvious missed calls that I could see. Great to see the boys play clean and the refs let them play.

My post is not a slam. I thought the refs did a great job. There were no obvious penalities and the refs decided not to call the ticky-tack fouls. the way a championship should be called imo.

McDonogh might want to review the person running the clock though.

Default Running the Clock

Have no idea who was running the clock, but does anybody know if it was a league person who did the clock at the Prep-McDonogh game?

Until I saw this game I thought Linganore had far and away the biggest line in Md. Now I think Gilman comes real close. Where in the hell do they get all these bigm guys out of a reletively small student body. I think when they are classified by the state they are a 1
a school.

Less than 500 students in the high school (Upper school). They get the big guys the way most other privates get the big guys. They recruit some and get lucky with others.
