Seriously, this clown looks like he's at Tom Mitchell's Driving Range trying to outdrive his golfing buddy with his brand new Dunlop driver..

He looks very out of place in this lineup.

He does look a bit out of place amidst professional athletes.

The FO has had several years to address the first base problem' date=' but they always look to fill the position with inexpensive retreads......[/quote']

They tried to trade for a rising prospect but the owner vetoed it because he would have to get rid of a player who visits hospitals and sells a lot of pink hats and female jerseys...and how did Pete screw up the Derek Lee deal again?

Mora, 0-5, last out of game by weakly grounding out.

I think the line-up needs a little changing. I would seriously consider letting Patterson lead off. My lineup when at full strength:

Patterson (cf)

Roberts (2b)

Markakis (rf)

Tejada (ss)

Huff (1b)

Mora (3b)

Hernandez ©

Payton (lf)

Gibbons/Millar (dh)

Every player in the lineup is a better option at leadoff than Patterson.

Mora will continue to decline this year.. And kill us in the #2 hole.

As I proposed prior to the season, this should be the basic line-up:

2B Roberts

RF Markakis

SS Tejada

1B Huff

C Hernandez

3B Mora

LF Gibbons

DH Millar

CF Patterson

While Hernandez it out, this should be the line-up:

2B Roberts

RF Markakis

SS Tejada

1B Huff

3B Mora

LF Gibbons

DH Millar

CF Patterson

C Bako

Patterson: career .297 on-base percentage. In other words, not so good.

Wouldn't you guys be happy to score 4 runs off Santana every time you play the Twins??

Every hitter is not going to get a hit in every game, the longest streak of all time is 56 games. Quit singling out players who O-fer, it's one game, and facing arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

Millar needs to become that bench guy. Gets a start 2 of 7 games, pinch hits late, rah rah guy.

Unfortunately that would be his role on a team with depth. In Balmer, he's still considered a starter. He'll get his, just how long it takes him to get going is going to determine the O's fortunes....
