Thank you Loyola. My point exactly. It does not have to be a female coach but get someone an opportunity on the female side. Is AHS arundel? The coach at Arundel left?

That was my first question also!!! :)

No, I think they mean Aberdeen!!! :)

Donchez Graham has joined the staff at West Virginia. I think that will help them get even more Baltimore kids.

There was a great game last night in HoCO with many of the top local talent facing off. The 15U Lady Terps with Morrison, Brown, Ade and Singletary faced the Blue Angels with Durant, Cummmings, Walpher, Oliver and Bach. Terps speed kept them ahead much of the game until late when the Angels made a run to cut it to 2 with about a minute left. Terps won by 4 in the end -- good job girls. Would be a nice game to see a rematch.

Baltimore Sun reports, "Guard Marah Strickland, a two-time Baltimore Sun All-Metro Player of the Year who announced in April that she was transferring from Maryland, will play for South Carolina and coach Dawn Staley, the former WNBA star." I heard Strcikland and Mingo wanted to be reunited with their former Coach Walz at UL but Brenda would not sign the releases if they were attend UL.

Jannah Tucker, from Baltimore, Md., is a player without a position and it is not because she can't play -- in fact quite the opposite. Tucker is part of the next wave of female basketball players that stretch the traditional boundaries of position play. She has the handle, IQ and passing skills to make plays from the point. From the wing, the 6-0 underclassmen is a confident shooter with good range. In the post area, she can score with her back to the basket as well as facing up with a short jumper. Her length and agility on defense allow her to control smaller opposing guards with ease. In the paint, she is a strong rebounder that goes up and gets the ball instead of waiting for it to come down. What stands out most about Tucker is the tremendous feel she has for every aspect of the game and the attention to detail she displays on the court.

Tucker will be a great one. If she stays at Western 4 years, I would be surprised.

Dukes to Keough. Really good pick up. I wonder if she will be able to participate in the Best of Maryland with Keough this weekend. Boswell is doing an excellent job of loading up. I am very glad Baltimore will be well represented in this event. I may go down there to see Baltimore play against all those nationally ranked teams. Everyone wants to see the new look Western Lady Doves and the great addition to Digital Harbor in Janay Brinkley. Your thoughts?

Not sure about scores but Keough is 2-0 in their bracket, Western 2-0 in their bracket and Digital 2-0 in their bracket. I had an opportunity to see both teams twice. Keep in mind, the baltimore city teams don't play together all summer like the other schools and really impressed me. If I had to rank them right now in this tournament it would be:

1. Western

2. Holy Cross

3. Seton Koeugh

4. Central Daulphin (Fl.)

5. Elizabeth Seton

6. Digital Harbor

Had the Baltimore Teams played together all summer they would be alot more dominant. Western is hands down the best team in this tournament. Amirah Tucker is unstoppable. Craig, Stevenson, J. Tucker, and Alston are to much for teams. Silver looks like she is in a candy store. They look like the female version of the old Dunbar teams. Div. I players on the court and on the bench.
