Another problem is that the Argentinians aren't as easy to deal with as the Chileans and the Peruvians. The taxes are higher. The Chinese are using copper as collateral for their credit. No telling what can happen to the price of copper. Looking at their import numbers they had more copper in inventory since 2008, 397,459 long tons.

Can someone help me understand the Facebook WhatsApp purchase.  Why 19bil and why WhatsApp. WhatsApp is no different than dozens of other apps kids use.  Each week my g/f daughter is using a different one. WhatsApp, Kik, etc etc etc.

I tend to be a very dividend based investor, but I do like Advantage Oil & gas, Ltd. (AAV) for growth purposes.

WHZ is a phenomenal dividend payer, with a very low P/E. Just realize it is a closed end stock, and watch the market timing, otherwise you could lose out on the price.

yea, i hear you and that has been my philosophy since the last correction when I gave up a lot of gains for being greedy.......

its not always easy even when you sell a stock after a 100% gain to watch it go on and double again ......

still kicking myself for selling WD40 too early after it took that dip last year ......

but I am not ready to bail on this one quite yet because this industry is still in the dumps and the index is still low .......

could sell a third and just play with their money .....

Just got my dividend check. I might just double down tomorrow and buy some more. I've owned this stock before it was publicly traded. We bought our original shares directly from the miners.

do you ever post anything on topic? .......

This is indeed on topic. "Mitchum" represents himself as some kind of investing wiz and I call BS.

Do you really believe that "Mitchum" is some wheeling and dealing multi-millionaire mogul? If so, I have a bridge you may be interested in.

My biggest holding (FAF)is going to pop big tomorrow. They just doubled their dividend and announced a 10 million share stock buyback.

Taking another stab at "how to pretend to be a millionaire", eh "Mitchum"? Do you just randomly pick stocks that have good headline news and then claim that it's your biggest holding? I note that you never mentioned that stock previously here.

actually he gave it to us on here in the mid teens (currently @ $26) .......

about the same time he gave us the shipping company in the mid $3's that just broke $12  ........

and the steel company that went up almost 100%+ ........

not a fan of shad's politics and have no idea if he owns these stocks or not but facts are facts and you just come on here and make stuff up ......

maybe you should have been listening instead of just trolling   :D .......

It's going to pop at the opening. They were sitting on too much cash. We might see a $10 pop. Then it's just wait until the real estate cycle comes around.

When we bought of first share of that companies stock it's entire Market cap was a little over $5 million. Now it's $2.78 Billion ($5.74 Billion if you add back in the spinoff of its subsidiary)

There is no mention of FAF on here until "Mitchum" mentioned it just now.
