If you had to pick a all Maryland NBA team from the current NBA active rosters.

PG: TY LAWSON
SG: RUDY GAY
SF: MELO
PF: KEVIN DURANT
C: MICHEAL BEASLEY

Atleast those are the ones I know from a MD zip code

Isn't it ironic that none of your guys played at the University of Maryland?
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. It has a nice sound to it

Suggs has signed. I've never been so happy to be wrong

Don't blame me, I voted Bob Barr:cool:

I was thinking the same thing.

Aside from Ernie Graham back in the late 70s, I can't think of anyone who was from or around Baltimore who played at UMD and could be considered a star. There's Juan Dixon, from Calvert Hall, but can he be considered an All-Star?

it's also ironic that all played after steve francis, and none played 4 years.

coach williams made it known he was not happy steve francis left early, and has made a habbit out of going after players he feels will stay for all 4 years.

This team has a chance to be sick. Especially when we add in Josh Selby to play PG next year. I also think that Gary Neal has a chance to be a great shooter in this league.

Right now I would take Beasley off the starting 5. I will replace him with Roy since he is a true Center and had a decent year last year aside from injuries

PG Vasquez
SG Gay
SF Durant
PF Green
C Hibbert

Melo is left off the list because of defense or lack of it
Lawson, because I believe Vasquez's upside is higher

The fact he Melo is left off this list is downright laughable.

I understand, but this team is based off an actual functional team aspect, not an All Star team.  KD is enough to replace Melo's scoring and I need a legit power forward on the list. This is coming from a huge Melo fan who has followed him since from high school. I never thought Durant would become a better player than Melo.

I lived there as a kid. I probably lowered the curve despite my best efforts... :)
