Newsweek Poll: Obama at 54% approval rating.

35 posts in this topic

President Obama’s approval ratings have jumped substantially, crossing the magic halfway threshold to 54 percent, up from 48 percent in late September, while the portion of respondents who disapprove of the president dropped to 40 percent, the lowest disapproval rating in a NEWSWEEK Poll since February 2010.

I bought my first Newsweek in years this past weekend; I was intrigued by the cover article about building a greener hamburger. Many, many years ago I worked in a fast food place and saw my share of green burgers.

Jack, I have to tell you, I wouldn't trust a Newsweek poll even if I was the only one that responded. Some of the articles were nothing less than far left propagnada. I'm not sure that I have ever specified a single publication quite to this degree, but that mag is not worth the reading.

Yea, but we should trust Fox News polls, right.

I must not be able to read pure English. MOTR, did you say something about Fox News Polls?

Completely transparent attempt at deflection there Jack.

No wonder the Dems are going to lose in droves.

Absolutely no comprehension. I figure Obama must have won through sheer stupid luck since they only had to read a name and not a sentence.

Will you trust the election results next Tuesday night? Probably not.

It is government... what did you expect? Your 'vote' matters little. Your corporate and other special interest Masters, whose votes really count, will be around shortly to 'fix' your little red wagon.;)

Currently, two-thirds of Americans (67%) have a negative opinion of the job President Obama is doing while just over one-third (37%) have a positive opinion. This continues the president's downward trend and he is now at the lowest job approval rating of his presidency.

The Tea Partiers are a passing fancy. Jack's Masters are on the corporate side. The Chinese will fix the corruption, illegitimacy and barbarism of the US Central regime. See... it all works out.;)

OBAMA HITS 37 APPROVAL...

President Obama Heads into Midterms at Lowest Approval Rating of Presidency

Two-thirds of Americans believe country going off on the wrong track

NEW YORK , N.Y. - October 25, 2010 - President Obama is spending the next week crisscrossing the country in support of Democratic candidates before this year's midterm elections. While the president may do a great job of energizing the base, he may not be able to convert any Independents who have yet to decide for whom they will vote. Currently, two-thirds of Americans (67%) have a negative opinion of the job President Obama is doing while just over one-third (37%) have a positive opinion. This continues the president's downward trend and he is now at the lowest job approval rating of his presidency.

Such is the state of the media but is Newsweek any worse than Forbes which recently ran some Birther nonsense as a cover story?

You may well be right sf, but I can remember when Newsweek was actually a halfway decent read.

by who's standards do we apply, good, great, average, bad etc

I assume you're replying to my post at #20, so since this is clearly an opinion, my standards would apply; your mileage may vary.

The disparity is remarkable Jack as a newly released Harris poll indicates the complete opposite

"President Obama Heads into Midterms at Lowest Approval Rating of Presidency

Two-thirds of Americans believe country going off on the wrong track

These are some of the results of The Harris Poll of 3,084 adults surveyed online between October 11 and 18, 2010 by Harris Interactive.

You say you want a revolution

Well, you know

We all want to change the world

You tell me that it's evolution

Well, you know

We all want to change the world

But when you talk about destruction

Don't you know that you can count me out

Don't you know it's gonna be all right

all right, all right
