Ivan Rodriguez plans to retire

I think Rodriguez becomes HOF-eligible thing will be a very interesting.

He was an obvious HOFer even without steroids, but it's hard (for me) to believe that he wasn't a major long-term user. But he reputation isn't nearly as soiled as Clemens, Bonds McGwire, and Palmeiro so he might ultimately make the HOF. I think we're looking about 10-15 years from now but I think he has the best shot of alleged steroid users because he was clearly a first ballot HOFer and he seems to be well like among the media (ie HOF voters).

And if Rodriguez does get in it will probably become the crack (since I can't say *****) in the armor that eventually leads to other alledged steroid users to get into the HOF.

Well looking at the numbers Wieters is significantly out hitting IROD in his first three years and if things keep up this year look out. Also defensively Wieters is a brick wall compared to IROD's passed balls "n/m" is just as much of a deterrent to base stealers as IROD ever was. So once again, you can SUCK IT!
