The main problem with a lots of the Raven's blitzing, is the opponent's offensive units usually picked up the blitzers with ease.

The Ravens often blitzed on third and long, but a lot times it was not successful.

I agree for the most part with the previous comment. Although I think the Ravens did a better job blitzing last year than they had under Mattison, it did seem like that their blitz schemes lacked the element of surprise. I would hope that with our corner play perhaps the strongest it has ever been in the history of the franchise the new coordinator will feel comfortable with letting loose with the blitz. Clearly, this is a set of defensive players who, regardless of who the coordinator happens to be in any given year, operate more effectively when being aggressive and attacking.
