Can't imagine they won't want to play every home game against the Michigans, Ohio St, and Penn St at either Fedex or M&T Bank...

I sure hope not. If one wants to build football excitment - on campus - they'll play at Byrd.

Mich, OSU, Nebraska and PSU doesn't do that now with other programs in the BiG.

What's new ? Figure wins against James Madison and maybe, Rutgers. Otherwise, another desultory 2014 season for the Twerps. Will this program ever get it ?

I heard on WNST today that Ohio State vs. Navy will be at Ravens' Stadium in 2014, so that should rule the Buckeyes out.

'IF' the Terps host one there, Iowa or Michigan State would make sense.

Starting in the 2016 season, a 9th conference game will be added.

No, a team from a real conference that actually win a BCS game.

Football is an afterthought to actual academic institutions.

But a truly thinking game, like baseball on the other hand...

Congrats to the P1G for getting a whole two teams into the 2013 NCAA baseball tourney... LOL

Nobody cares about high school or college baseball. Nobody. It ranks right up there in attendance with wrestling or girl's field hockey.

Exactly the kid of response I'd expect from a tenured prof from a traitor school.

Who said anything about high school sports ? This is a college sports forum, in case you hadn't noticed.

And in baseball, the ACC (minus Maryland, of course) excelled this year.

The P1G barely bothered to show up.

What is "kid of response"? Too bad you flunked out of Md....Really, too bad you couldn't cut it at Md.

Ummmm, HS kids go to college. If they had no interest in baseball while in HS, chances are, they won't care about baseball when they get to college. They don't. It's not rocket science. It's all connected...in case you hadn't noticed.

This thread is about football. Go pop an adderall and try to stay on topic.

Good luck trying to find anyone who gives a %^&* about college baseball.

College baseball doesn't make money.

If it did, maybe the P1G would actually make an effort to get good at it.

Including their newest member the University of Whoryland...

It's a missing "n", numbnuts. Seriously, you couldn't figure that out ? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, given UMD's desperation for teachers and its resulting cowardly flight to the P1G.

I just love it when you become unhinged. Too funny.

Football makes the most money because it appeals to the unwashed masses.

It makes the most money because Americans love and watch the sport. The "unwashed" consumers have spoken. 'Nuff said.

Baseball is much better as a sport.

Baloney. A boring sport. A sport where many of it's stars are fat and in poor condition. Baseball is a snooze fest...pass me another dog and cheese natchos, fat one:

http://www.google.com/search?q=fat+baseball+players&client=safari&hl=en&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ADClUdnHMsfu0gHU04GQAQ&sqi=2&ved=0CDQQsAQ&biw=1024&bih=672

Bottom line - As interest in youth, HS and college baseball drops, so too, eventually, will interest in MLB. There's very little interest in baseball from this, and future generations....eventually, that lack of interest will hurt attendance at MLB games. It's just a matter of time.

LMAO.

In case you hadn't noticed....if it weren't for our posts, there would be none. How many new threads in the last few months?

If folks have something to say, they will say it....regardless of any diversions that the VineMan, or I, might start. I suspect thar once football season rolls around in the Fall, more people will have things post. Until then, what is there to discuss....ACC baseball? I've been around enough Terp students and alumni to say there's really only three sports that gather any interest at CP: basketball, football and lax.

Bottom line -

You wouldn't recognize an original thought if it passed your feeble brain.

New Englander P1G fan. Teaching in the ACC.

You're a joke.

And not a very good joke at that...

Did you forget to take your nap?

You're gonna have to do much better than that, VineMan.

You're just PO'd that NC doesn't have a MLB team. Ya know.....when I lived in the biggest city in NC, Charlotte, they were making a strong pitch to get a team. As with all cities in NC, they were deemed not "affluent enough", not enough local interest to support MLB. Too funny.

That is so funny on many levels.

Apparently you weren't here when I argued against Charlotte for the relocation of the Expos. And for DC to get the team.

Oops...

Bottom line from those in the know - the city, the state could not (financially) support a MLB team.

Ooooops.

But I'm sure the powers that made the decision to deny Charlotte a team, listened to your arguments. LOL. Sure.

Who knocked out the last representative from the ACC to advance to the college world series?

That's right....a Big Ten team.

Thanks for playing, mouth.

You need to pay more attention, apparently. The last representative from the ACC in the CWS ? Um, no...

If you are referring to the bastard child of the ACC, Lousiville, then you are, indeed, desperate to grab anything. You should "pay attention", yourself. Louisville is not yet a member of the ACC, and won't be until July 1, 2014. Sorry, you lose, again.

Nevertheless, Louisville was spurned by the Big 12 (which is where they wanted to go)....but failing to get an invite, the ACC came begging to add a member, and they accepted not wanting to be left out in the cold. You got sloppy seconds, so to speak. Sorry, but it's true.

Oh, and as if any of the aforementioned really matters...then know this....... the B1G representative in the CWS quickly dispatched the bastard, and FUTURE ACC rep, in game one.
