The three starters pitched to a 2.45 ERA

The bullpen a horrendous 6.92 ERA... a total of 14 appearances by the pen, 9 of the 14 allowed a run

The bats stunk.... 5 for 21 with RISP (.238)

Markakis 3 for 15, 3 RBI
Machado 4 for 16, 2 RBI
Jones 0 for 14, 0 RBI
Davis 4 for 13, 3 RBI
Hardy 5 for 13, 1 RBI
Pearce 1 for 6, 0 RBI
McLouth 1 for 10, 0 RBI
Teagard 3 for 5, 0 RBI
Wieters 1 for 8, 1 RBI
Roberts 7 for 13, 2 RBI
Urrutia 1 for 3, 0 RBI

Alfonso Soriano drove in 13 runs in the last 2 games. The Orioles whole team batted in 12 runs in 3 games.

Jones has been great but it's hard for a team to win when your #3 or #4 hitter goes 0 for 6.

Roberts has really heated up over the past couple of games but it seems like the big difference between now and may was that in May, Machado and Davis were red hot and Markakis was getting a lot of extra base hits.

I don't know if they were just tired or what, but the swinging in innings 11-14 was horrendous yesterday.

The worst was Wieters fouling off that pitch above his head. He's lucky to have made contact.
