As a former St Louisan and old former St Louis Cardinal football, I loved Deirdorf as a player.

The ulitmate old school O lineman who had the misfortune to play on a lousy team owned by a cheap idiot.

When Dan moved to the booth for Cardinal games on KMOX St Louis, I thought he may show promise.

As the years went by on Monday Night and later CBS for the first and later second team broadcast, I tought he was marginal on his best day.

Later as  ravens fan, I thought he flat out sucked.

But he did a fairly good job last week and he gave the Ravens and Joe more props than they deserved.

But no, I won't miss him in the booth, lol.

Who will Z at the Sun hate on now?

Dan focused on line play in games. He was fine in the booth.

I never had much of a problem with him.  Baltimore fans have this complex that whenever someone criticizes their team, fair or not, they get all upset.  At least he was a little more knowledgeable than some of the people who call games.  He wasn't the best, but there are a lot worse than him out there.

I could care less if he cricizes the Ravens performance, especially if it's warranted.  I just have never liked his color commentary and with each passing year, he irritates me a little bit more.  And from what I gathered in the paper a couple of days ago, Dan will be in the booth again today.  Too bad there's that delay between TV and radio because unless it's Phil Simms in the booth, I'd listen to WBAL's play-by-play every week.

Can't stand him in the booth. And, I think we've got him today.

Dan doesn't bother me much.

I'd take him any day over Fouts. That guy is just horrible.

Good riddance.  Just need Phil Simms to leave next as he is by far the worst.
