Just watched the movie about Johnny. Made me realize how much I like a lot of his songs.

They may be vintage Cash. Or alternate takes of some of his recordings. I think Cash went through a long dry spell in the 80s, when he didn't quite fit in with the "new image" of country music, which is to say, contemporary pop, only with a steel guitar somewhere in the background. Let’s face it; Cash was no Garth Brooks or Kenny Chesney. He was more a traditionalist than the genera was comfortable with at the time. So he may have recorded a lot of stuff back then that didn't get released.
