Since the season is officially over, as a fan that does not coach or know as much as the football professionals, I still have just a few suggestions.

*Special Teams was solid this year, no suggestions for changes except bringing in a new punter to challenge current one.

Defensive Roster Suggestions:

DE

Chris Canty-Thanks, let walk

NT

Haloti Ngata-do what’s best for the cap, trade or let walk, not an impactful player no more, maybe new team would reignite fire

RDE

Arthur Jones-Offer cap friendly contract if things can be done with Nagata and Suggs in a timely manner.

LOLB

Terrell Suggs-Cap friendly contract or let walk (cut)

LILB

Josh Bynes-Let walk, cannot play effectively as a defensive starter, Ravens have good luck with backers in the past, clear a roster spot

RILB

Daryl Smith-Depending on free agency or draft bring back as a reserve that is willing to play special teams, ran out of gas toward end of the season.

ROLB

Elvis Dumervil-Let Heal.

CB

Lardarius Webb-Not for sure if it was the knee injury or what, Ravens would be stronger on defense moving Webb to 3rd DB/Reserve FS

SS

James Ihedigbo-Thanks, Let walk goodbye, no range or catch up ability

FS

Matt Elam-Let play natural/comfortable position, this is what most successful organizations do.

CB

Jimmy Smith-Continue to coach up, potential #1 shut down corner, bring in consultant to actually make a difference-Rod Woodson?

Terrence Cody-Cut, let walk goodbye, not effective at all, wasted roster spot.

Brandon Williams-Coach Up? Bring in competition.

Pernell McPhee-Coach Up-Can play multiple positions

Arthur Brown-Weight Room, Coach up-Offseason consultant-Ray Lewis?

Albert McClellan-Give Special Team opportunity

Courtney Upshaw-Conditioning-Move to inside-Offseason consultant-Ray Lewis?

Chykie Brown-Cut, let walk

Corey Graham-Plays with a lot of heart, perfect scenario would be ST player/5th DB, if not let walk, cannot consistently cover top-tier receivers.

DeAngelo Tyson-Coach Up, Starter?

Anthony Levine, Omar Brown, John Simon, Jeromy Miles & Brynden Trawick:

Special Team Opportunity, let walk if competition can be better ST player/reserve

Do you really think it is realistic to get rid of 2/3rds of the team?
Pessimism is just an ugly word for 'pattern recognition'.

LOL, I read the first 5-6 players and all were pretty much let walk. I stopped at that point.
