PSU gets Franklin and we're stuck with Edsall

I am not a big follower of college football. For the most part because I am a Maryland fan and we have not had much worth cheering for.

Go away and we will tell you when it is safe to jump on the bandwagon.

Great. I will do the same for you on basketball.

Oh, never mind, I don't need your permission to support or not support a team.

Get over you self bro-child

Why do you still follow the basketball team? They are as big a disaster as the football team, if not even more considering Maryland fans think they are a basketball school.

Because I have been a Maryland Basketball fan since the Len Bias days. I went to see a ton of games back in the Dixon and Blake era and have a huge group of friends that watch and travel to games with me.

I have not been to as many since the Gary left but I have watched and waited to see if the magic would return.

The big ten change may work out. Or it might be the end of my college basketball fandom.

I doubt I will pick another team. Maybe if one of my kids attends a school with a good program.

It is nice to see you recognize that the football program is a disaster.

It's nice you recognize you are a fair-weather bandwagon jumper and your boy Shady Turg are terrible.

Maybe they will have a wife beater on the team and you two can give him a standing ovation.

Who was that father and son team in Chicago that jumped the old coach? Was that you and junior?

How was the road trip to Happy Valley?

No idea.  I was busy with family and work stuff.  I saw a game there back in 1993 or 4.  Wow.  Real college football scene.

Still i was never a particular fan of the program.

Keep hating!  I am sure all that hate is gonna kill you at some point.

If the Terps can beat Iowa , then maybe Edsall is turning the corner, but the size of the loss to the Buckeyes tells me the Terps  need a lot of work.

Still pis^ed at the way they showed Fridge and Franklin the door.

Last time Md and PSU played, in 1993, it was a major beat down, PSU 70-UMd 7.

The series record is 35-1-1

So, as far as I'm concerned, if the Terps beat, or stay within 7-10pts of PSU..."they've turned the corner", so to speak.

I was at that game in 1993

Did you stay for the entire game, or were you gone by the half?

Brutal.

Terps need a cash infusion from Kevin Plank.

He should pay to gut Cole and turn it into a high tech sports research center.

Blasphemy!

As nice and shiny as Comcast is, I will forever believe that Cole Field House is the best place to watch the Terps play.

Which team has the better B1G record this year?

UMCP or Penn State?

Looks like UMPC.

Cole Field House would be reborn under a $155 million plan to convert the 59-year-old former basketball arena at the University of Maryland into an indoor football practice facility and "innovation" lab to help the school recruit athletes and others who are would-be entrepreneurs.

... Plank said in an interview that he plans to write a large check, "but I'm not writing the whole thing. We're all in this thing together. Everybody's got to put skin in the game." ...

The practice facility would be built from the bones of Cole, the Terps' basketball home until the 2002-03 season. Now used for intramural sports and other student recreational activities, Cole would be gutted, but the building's iconic name and front facade would be preserved.
