Just saw it on the TV.

So...

Anyone think Juan Castillo will be named the next OC?

This only shows how disfunctional the Lions organization is. Maybe Caldwell will hire a good O coordinator and actually make some noise with the team.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. It has a nice sound to it

Suggs has signed. I've never been so happy to be wrong

Don't blame me, I voted Bob Barr:cool:

Actually, just heard it on the radio and my first thought was, will Castillo replace him.

Wouldn't be surpirsed.

Good luck Mr. Caldwell. I think we need a change and so do you. :D

That was my first (sickening) thought as well.

Whoever it winds up being... hopefully things like the WR screen, the misdirection pitch, the occasional end-around, the screen pass, etc. will be placed back in to the gameday playbook...

A playbook that appeared to consist of a handful of variations on two plays (a draw from the gun, and all verticals) struck me as "unimaginative" this past season.  :)

And he's also going to call the plays for the Lions. Good luck Detroit is all I can say...

If Castillo, our juggernaut running back and O-Line coach becomes the new OC, I’m leaving town.

Does anybody else think Norv Turner would be a good choice to replace Caldwell?

The one I would like is not available - Jay Gruden. I would certainly take Turner over Castillo (please God don't let that happen) but Turner's record over the years just isn't that good. They say he's a good play caller but if things don't go right, he complains he doesn't have the players. I don't like that. Coaches should help good players to become better players IMO.

If I owned the team I'd give the job to OCF.

Of course Norv would be a good option - his problems occurred when he was a HC, not an OC.  I'd also be interested in Chudzinski.

I don't think there's any way Biscotti or Ozzie would allow Castillo to be promoted.

What makes you think he'd be a good OC if he had problems as an HC??

I disagree. I think Steve and Ozzie might let Harbaugh do it. Of course, it puts all the more pressure on Harbaugh to do well next season.

I found it interesting the Sun article said Andy Moeller and WIlbert Montgomery may go with Caldwell. Was it Castillo vs Caldwell, Moeller and Montgomery?

I don't know - maybe because he has a track record of being a great OC?

It was a variation of a playbook that seemed to work pretty well when Caldwell had Peyton Manning as his QB.

If that does happen, then it will let me further know that Harbs was front and center at the mess that was the 2013 Ravens season.

Now that's interesting. Maybe if Harbaugh called his own plays he'd know what players were on the field? Oh, I see, you mean let Harbaugh promote Castillo. For a minute there I thought you were talking about Harbaugh taking over the OC duties and calling his own plays. Now THAT would be interesting. Seriously, if Harbaugh promotes Castillo into the position that would redefine dysfunctional.
