Rick Dennison will the the QB coach (a position he's never held before, but he's held a lot of other offensive positions). There is still a vacancy at the RB coach spot.

Why would he take a position coaching job? He's still being paid for trying to destroy a franchise with his father.

Its no surprise that the SSA is a mess when they hire economists with pea brains.

Can Kubiak bring in his own "Run Game Coordinator" and get rid of the one that's already here?

As far as run, run pass as I recall Andre Johnson and several Broncos WR's have done pretty well under Kubiak. I'm just pleased that it is fresh blood coming into the organization. In addition it won't be just one guy. Dennison is on board and from what I can glean from the presser several other coaches will be coming on board.

This is more than just an OC hire. To me this signals a systemic shift in the way the Ravens are going to run things on offense. This type of organizational shift is long over due IMO.

I agree wait and see, but all signs and history point to this being a very positive move going forward.

Nice cut and paste, Andy. Is this your new mantra?

And Andre Johnson would do well with a Gatorade bucket coaching him. And so would Foster and Tate.

All signs and history point to this being a very positive move going forward? LOL. As long as John Harbaugh is the head coach, I'm not sure that really has any relevance whatsoever. To the contrary...all signs and history point to this being a "wait and see" situation. At best.

Here's a question for you:

Why can't Flacco?

You mean the Super Bowl MVP?

(And yet again...your ignorance of even the difference between a QB and a RB or a WR is palpable.)

Yes, the QB of the team who's offense you have repeatedly trashed for years. The Super Bowl is irrelevant - you said so yourself! All luck, remember? Harbaugh, the Super Bowl winning coach, is awful, remember? Which way do you want it? You can't have both.

When was the last time people complained that Brady or Peyton or Brees was bad because of their O-coordinator? If anything it should be EASIER for a QB to shine regardless of play calling because all of the offense runs through them. Yet you never see the most elite at the position have a down year because of their coordinator. Curious, that.

1. Your sad little diatribe about "luck" is yet another example of just how "off" you really are. I said that ALL super bowl winning teams need SOME luck because there are just too many other variables to consider, and yes, to a certain extent, luck DOES play into it. And it played into it in 2012 for the Ravens. Yet you take that with your limited intellectual capacity and turn it into something it's not and never will be. But hey...that's how you roll.

2. The Ravens have had the worst offense for the past 16 years of ANY competitive team in the NFL. They ran mostly on DEFENSE. But of course...you know that, right? Wrong. You know nothing. And your posts here and on the O's board prove it. Daily.

3. Brady had one of his worst years this year, and he couldn't "carry" his team because of the deficiencies. Joe had even LESS to work with. So please...get some help. And the sooner. The better. And the more. The better.

OCF Slidemaster is obviously a Flacco hater. When
the Ravens lost to the Redskins in 2012 he wanted
Flacco gone and wanted the Ravens to tank this
past season with Tyrod Taylor at QB in hopes that it
would give the Ravens a shot to draft one of the top
QBs in this year's draft. By the way I like the
Kubiak hire but I won't make any bold predictions.

1. You're right about his Flacco hating. Most of the time I ignore his nonsense. But not tonight.

2. I'm leery of the Kubiak hire. He's DEFINITELY better than Hostler, which would have been a total train wreck. Kubiak isn't a TOTAL train wreck, but reading the Texans' fans comments was JUST LIKE reading Ravens fans comments about Cameron and Caldwell. And the Ravens don't HAVE a Foster, or Tate, or Johnson. AND Kubiak is known to NOT be flexible, NOT allow his QBs to audible, and he's not big on the deep vertical game either. And his inflexibility is in the area of forcing his "game plans" to be implemented whether they're working or not. Doesn't that sound just a little too familiar? It does to me. But hey...even if Dennison can give Joe some support on the sideline, that'd be a help. And unless or until they fix the O-line it doesn't matter WHO the OC is -- it's not going to fly. So what the hell? Let's see how it all plays out.

Knock yourself out. The SB win was primarily luck. It's not going to happen again in 5 years.

But wait, it gets better!

http://talk.baltimor...-2#entry6434517

OMG. I'm talking about an entire SUPER BOWL RUN; not just THE SUPER BOWL GAME ITSELF. Is that not self-explanatory enough?!!!

There you have it folks, the WHOLE SUPER BOWL RUN WAS LUCK. Irrefutable - I love the internet!

2. The Ravens have had the worst offense for the past 16 years of ANY competitive team in the NFL. They ran mostly on DEFENSE. But of course...you know that, right? Wrong. You know nothing. And your posts here and on the O's board prove it. Daily.

I never for one second argued that the Ravens' offense was anything better than abysmal. Not ever. However, I choose to place SOME (not all, because I know you'll go there since your brain doesn't operate in any mode other than extreme black and white) of the blame on the players who play the game, including the O-line, the defense, the receivers, the running backs, and yes, even your precious quarterback. Because that's the reality of the situation, and anyone rational would admit that.

3. Brady had one of his worst years this year, and he couldn't "carry" his team because of the deficiencies. Joe had even LESS to work with. So please...get some help. And the sooner. The better. And the more. The better.

The only part of Brady's game that was uncharacteristically low this year was his completion percentage, which was down a few percentage points from his career average. Even then, it was over 60%. All of his other numbers were right smack dab in the middle of his career norms, and he STILL carried his team all the way to the AFC championship game with two rookie receivers in the starting lineup, his best weapon out for all but a handful of games, a backfield spearheaded by LaGarrette Effing Blount, and a sub-par defense.

In other words, pretty much everything you just said was wrong, and I have plenty of evidence to back it up. Man, facts suck don't they?

Maybe we can keep Leach and get him more involved. I think our offense tried to get too cute and pass all the time. We are in a division where in the late part of the yr you have to run the ball really well and pound it out. we play better off of Play action.

That franchise was destroyed long before Shanahan got there.
