Hopefully the NFL learned a lesson today in terms of the danger of over emphasizing certain players and teams. That danger was revealed in today’s SuperBowl game. I am surprised the lights did not go off. Russell Wilson, the defense and the entire Seahawk team was impressive. That’s all.

The refs let them play. During the year you make your rep. Seattle was known to be physical and no matter how much the Bronco's lobbied they ,the Hawks, were allowed to play the WR tough. The Ravens play one down bump and run, the next zone and the next Tampa 2. So they play Denver and get called for DPI. You have to be consistent in the NFL and no matter what hope the refs let you pla

Seattle was the better team in all phases of the game.   Shows just how bad the AFC is.  Their best team got totally schooled by the NFC's best.  Truth is that outside of Denver, Indy, and New England, the AFC never had any hope of fielding a team to be competitive with the NFC's best.  The sad thing is Denver was the best in the AFC and that's all they could give.  Congrats to the Seahawks.  They deserve it.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill.

AFC had its way with the NFC for a pretty good stretch there a few years ago. The worm has turned.

The point of the thread is that all everyone in the press wanted to talk about leading up to the game -- in fact, the whole damn year -- was Peyton Manning. (And Sherman and the incident after the NFCCG.) And it was so lopsided it wasn't funny. And the result was one of the most lopsided games in Super Bowl history. The OTHER way. So yeah...the NFL got exactly what they deserved. (Unless, of course, anyone thinks that the NFL and the Press are two totally separate entities.)
