Jones' homer a good sign.

I'll say this again, the more I see the O's play other teams the more I realize just how solid we are defensively.

Ramos made a mistake and Jones made him pay.  Good to see Adam get ahold of one.

Schoop has a lot of potential offensively; he might end up being a more potent force at the plate than Manny. I know, I know, he hits one out and I'm seliing him like Ricky Roma sold the Glengarry plots. But Schoop just seems to be able at times to anticipate what the pitcher is going to throw, and he's ready for it and nails it. I suppose that's what they call a "guess hitter," and although such concepts have supposedly been gutted by God of Saber, I still think there's some praise in tagging a guy with that sobriquet.

Plus Schoop's made a couple of dynamite plays at 2b tonight.

Thorne just said the O's are tied for 12th in the AL in HRs? And they're still in first (or close to it)? Not a bad sign. Of course their offense has been fueled by contact base hits so far, and MW was a big part of that, being 7th or so in the league in BA and all, and now he's got some kind of gremlin in his elbow.

And that's an irritating ad with Harper. Clunker is on the DL again. How can people still compare him to Trout or, for that matter, Machado?

Hunter: second coming of Stanhouse or Jim Johnson?

Well, whatdyaknow, Hunter grabs a liner up the middle the way he failed to grab a similar one two hitters before.

Dempsey just said that Zobrist is the most dangerous hitter in the lineup? What about Eva's relative?

Maybe its time for Showalter to leave a pitcher in the game (Britton) who is pitching effectively after the 8th.  Its early obviously, but his stubbornness to do this really hurt the team last year and I'm already seeing signs of it this year.

that's against the rules. the closer pitches the ninth, no matter what.

perennial MVP candidate > pretty good player

anyone making comparisons between those two is still living in 2012
