has anyone else noticed the thin shimmering strip on the bill of Martinez's cap? I noticed he touched his fingers to it at least once this inning

Norris looking really bad so far.  Hit batter, walk and a HR.  Hopefully he settles down

28 pitches for Norris in the first. Get the bullpen ready.

Markakis is the consummate hitter. Great rebound from last season.

Nice to see Machado with another double.

Just what we figured. If Adam Jones lays off that low and outside pitch he can hit .330.

man,

when they are clicking this is one dangerous offense especially with Machado getting extra base hits.

Flipped to A's/Yanks game and Jeter just made an absolutely horrendous throw to first on what was a pretty routine ground ball... Looked like somebody shot the ball out of the air halfway on its way to first.  Even so Teixeira probably should have picked it.

Oakland was down 4-0 but as expected they have crept all the way back thanks in part to Jeter's error.

They are a really tough squad. O's play them next.

How this Rangers team has managed to play .500 is a miracle. After a game and a half this team looks pretty bad.

As off as he has been, Davis still on pace to hit at least 30 homers.

Can't actually watch but as with every other team we play, the defense just seems to pale in comparison to ours.

Who didn't see that coming? He's the only player in their lineup that can hurt you.

How does Norris still have a rotation spot? Why would you pitch to Beltre? For once I wish this tesam could have some competent pitchers!

I like the aggressiveness especially against a suspect defense like this one. Norris deserved a better fate after getting hit. I'm glad he's still in line for the win.

Earl Weaver would be pissed at the way the outs have been made.
