Since the O's 1st pick in the draft was #90, there wasn't any fanfare about their selections. But I was intrigued by their second pick (4th Round #138). He has a fastball that reaches 95mph with sink. He also has a sharp curveball and a good change up. he's a 2 sport athlete (basketball) and is compared to Jeff Samardzija at this same point in his career. He was at the Yard yesterday for his physical, and it looks like an agreed upon deal is in place, pending the results.
it has been suggested that he is an under the radar guy who is better than his slot in the draft. but that comment came from an in-house MASN person. I generally dismiss their glowing reviews right away.
