Rays had bases loaded no outs in 1st and Gausman did a fantastic job getting out of it.

Home plate umpire with some atrocious ball calls on pitches that literally looked perfect.

Showalter needs to defend his pitcher and get himself thrown out of the game if this continues.

Yea... he desperately needed a one two three inning which he got... but pitch count around 65 now.

Great play by Manny there to end the inning.

Pretty weak effort by Davis there. If he's not gonna charge and try to snag the hop then he's gotta try and get in front of the ball.

Damn that would have been a super quick inning for Gausman.

Need the bats to wake up!!

Seriously. Hope they don't think they're out of the woods b/c they scored 7 runs last night.  They caught some big breaks in that 5 run 3rd inning last night.

Pearce is the man.  Great call on hit and run

With every clutch hit Pearce gets, I hope that Lough's behind becomes further & further glued to the bench!!! I mentioned in yesterday's game thread - Pearce and/or Young need to be in the lineup everyday.  Lough only for late inning defensive replacement or pinch running apprearances...

Two perfect innings from Hunter - wtf???   We have officially morphed into an alternate universe....

Jones and Davis a combined 0-9 today   Ouch!

Another dominating outing by Britton - nice series win.  Bring on the Yankees

Big win after losing the first one. The pitching continues to carry the team.

Dammit, I seem to miss every Gausman outing. I'd like to see him since he appears to be good now.

I credit the glasses.

After a 10 pitch double to start the 6th, Longoria gift wrapped the inning to Gausman with some bone headed base running.

Gaussman appears to be the real thing.  Still just a small sampling, but it appears he is learning how to pitch in MLB, and he's obviously gaining confidence.

Buck's going to have to make a tough decision about who his 5 starters are, or, he's going to have to be innovative - maybe something like sitting Chen and Gonzo every 3d start or yanking Ubaldo or Tillman if either struggles too early. IDK what he'll do, but based on the recent pitching, it's a good problem to have.
