That projection is the lowest out of any team in the AL East.

Even someone as pessimistic about sports as me finds that to be pretty suspect.

In fairness, I have heard that the O's have the toughest remaining schedule for contenders in the AL.

But I would still be quite surprised to see them with a losing record after the break. Gausman could be a huge boost down the stretch.

Hot and wet is much more preferable.

Wouldn't you agree ?

That's probably good enough to make the playoffs. Possibly good enough to take the division.

It's always hard to make these kind of predictions but the schedule the next 3 weeks is brutal. We just need to play close to .500 through this stretch. I'm comfortable with our lead right now but I'm sure there are going to be some tough weeks ahead. I think we get to 90 wins and win the division.

38-30

the O's open up the 2nd half with a 3 weeks stretch of games against the best teams in the AL. Toronto gets to coast through series after series of also rans and the floundering yankees.

Advantage - Toronto

The only AL East team I see threatening the Os is Tampa. They are getting healthier and hotter

To point out that I thought it was ridiculous?  Y'know where this factoid came from?  Camden Depot.  What was their reason for posting it?

I don't.
They have the toughest second-half record in baseball.
It doesn't mean they are right, because the O's also had one of the toughest 1st-halfs.

This year, they were worse than a weather man.
They only thing they may have gotten right was Mike Trout and Detroit....but really?
