Preston Guilmet optioned back to AAA to make room for Gonzalez.

Ryan Flaherty replaces Manny in the line-up at 3B just before game time. Lower back stiffness for Manny was the reason given.

Wow...when Gonzalez is behind 2-0, hitters are batting .727 against him. At least according to the halo's announcers.

If true that is outrageous. I guess guys just sit on his fastball which is quite mediocre if you knows its coming

Feel like Davis got at least one pitch there that would've been in the right center field seats last year.

That didn't sound right to me so I looked it up. 

 

According to ESPN, they are indeed hitting .727 against him at 8 for 11 when a 2-0 pitch is put in play. I think a better stat is what happens cumulatively after getting to 2-0, with batters hitting .351 against him, which is not great but much better. 

 

i agree with you about sitting on his fastball. It is definitely a very hittable pitch, especially if you know it is coming.
