Think that ended a 19 inning scoreless streak for O's offense.

I toned down my criticism of the offense because we have faced only top 5 pitching since the All Star break.

I think if someone told you we'd take four of six from the Angels you would have said, "I'll take it."

Having said that, Despite DD's reputation for being an obp guy, the team just doesn't draw walks.

Well that's a good sign.

Lead off runner on 2nd. Must...score...runner...

Davis would've mashed that pitch last year.

Today's entry in the bizarre mental picture category...

Adam Jones shares a birthday with Jerry Garcia.

Davis is just becoming a guaranteed out. Awful to see.

Should try a little league play here where Jones gets caught in a run-down and Manny tries to score from third.

Probably only way they can score.

This strike zone sucks.  Outside to Cruz and Davis.

After Cruz got squeezed on his called third -- which was a ball -- Davis should have been thinking swing on his called third strike. Of course Davis looks more lost up there than Alice was when she went down the rabbit hole.

Attaboy Hardy.

And with some Roman emperor (?) I think that's what Thorne was gifting us with. Hopefully it wasn't Caligula.

Chen was marvelous.

Yeah he pitched a hell of a game. Some people keep talking about his mediocre "peripherals," but the gap between Chen's performance and his peripherals may say more about the validity of those measures (metrics?) than about the value of Chen as a starting pitcher.

Hardy should have had that. Seems to be a true one-bounce from the replay. Maybe wouldn't have nailed the baserunner but if Hardy had cleanly fielded it, the runner wouldn't be on third.

This offense is putrid.  Same thing happened second half of last year.  Our pitching has been lights out.  We just have too many auto outs right now.
