...optioning a consistent, solid starter for a guy who has the worst control in major league baseball.

 

I'd be happy if I never saw Ubaldo in an Orioles uniform again.  If he stays in the rotation, he could single-handedly cost us the division.  He's THAT bad.


The kids are alright.

Y'know what number matters?  60 walks.  That's the most in major league baseball, and the number Jimenez has issued.

 

62 now, because he's pitched an inning.


The kids are alright.

I agree, he sucks.  All we can do his hope he figures it out

 

If he doesn't he'll be in the bullpen Sep 1st

As I said on the game thread... it's hard for me to recall both Orioles announcers and the manager trying to be so 'diplomatic' regarding a player. Everyone has pretty much acknowledged that Jimenez return risks messing up what was a very good thing. It's obvious that Buck did not want to send Gonzalez down. Blame the players' union.
